Admittedly the thread title and idiotic first post was more click bait than anything. I hate the stupid stuff at TGP as much as anyone.

Thread title will change to "Ann Landers" if it lives long enough.

It's cool if you don't want to get the vaccine, I get that. I'm not one of the screaming blue hairs demanding everybody get one. But the narrative that it was untested is a bit of a stretch. The general vaccine type was in development for like decades and when covid came around they tweaked the vaccine to match it, which is essentially a unique strain of SARS or whatever it's called.

The covid vaccine also doesn't prevent you from getting it, it just makes it a lot less severe if/when you do, makes you less likely to pass it on, and lessens your chances of getting long covid. So yeah people who get the shot could ABSOLUTELY get covid but it doesn't cause people to get covid when they otherwise wouldn't have.

A covid infection sucks but overall getting sick is kinda whatever. But long covid? Man screw that. Even if you don't lose taste and smell, there's all kinds of shit people get with it. Brain fog = brain damage and for some people it goes away, but with some people it doesn't. Cancer risk for a whole lotta other shit goes up over the long term. Other stuff gets you sicker than you would have gotten, which is partially why the flu has been such a motherfucker these past few years when it wasn't before, etc.

In the end though, conservative or liberal, I think everybody's just trying to do what's best for ourselves with the info we have.

Rick Beato did a real nice interview with him ...I think last year. Pretty neat.

I remember all the 80s videos, and yes Reb ripped on guitar. I wasn't a hair metal kid ....I was a thrash kid .... Metallica in it's true heyday.....so anything like winger, or warrant, even skid row was not allowed!🤣🤣🤣

I was stuck listening to the adults in my life background music like southern rock or 30s-50s stuff. Everything else was the devil.
Though, I was allowed New Kids on the Block and barely Vanilla Ice.
When I broke free it was straight to Marylin Manson...

That's conjecture spewed by the media for which you really can't scientifically prove. I supported high risk people getting the shot (my mother included) because the risk of the shot was not outweighed by the risk of the disease, but it didn't need to be forced on the masses and having the US turned into a Nazi state with vaccine passports, getting fired, etc.

Also, the guy who invented MRNA technology came out against it. And it still doesn't negate the fact that it got approval without going through the standard protocol.

How does the all-cause mortality rate compare pre-jab and post-jab?

You know that now, but that’s not what everyone was told in the beginning. FJB told half of the USA that didn’t want the vaccine that they were going to spread the disease to their families and cause a “winter of death.”

I don’t even know if it’s true that it causes a COVID infection to be less severe. They said that right after they admitted it doesn’t prevent the spread. Seems convenient.

I don’t believe anything that last administration said. You could watch them lie over and over about everything. Border is secure… Inflation is transitory… Afghanistan withdrawal was a huge success… Biden was sharper than anyone in the room… they were lying mother f’ers.
