TGP would've told me they are totally reliable for gigs cause "12 watts is all you need". I lost count of how many Deluxes I've seen take a shit at a show. Last summer at a gig out in Leander my 2nd guitarist changed his EL84's out in a couple songs when his Morgan failed.

At one of the local bars that has shows every other weekend, you can always tell the bands that gig/tour regularly and the ones who don't know what the fuck theyre doing based solely on the the gear the guitarist brings

You can always tell the road hardened motherfuckers because they always have 50-100 watt amps and 2x12s or 4x12s or a HPTT or something

One dude showed up at said bar with a champ and asked to have it miced up. It was miced up - still couldn't be heard by anyone in the venue

If the bleed from the drums, bass, and monitors is loud enough, it doesn't matter a damn bit if you mic up a tiny amp unless you have massive stadium style sound reinforcement

The only time I'll break out some ear plugs is at a Top Fuel event or when the drummer has Z's. I can still hear those Z's sizzling in my left ear from a drummer I worked with in about 1998.
