AC/DC's tour is over half over, and they had a backline of Marshall cabs, so I doubt it's for them on this tour.

Cool looking pic though.

gotta be somebody pretty high profile to afford the overpriced plexi`s

$4500 for a plexi clone   that rick st. is making a fucking on every sale.

The Modern Classic is certainly not "a plexi clone". It's the best sounding amp out of all the high gainers in my sig..... period. It's because of AC DC's plexi's constantly breaking that Wizard amps even exist. You could play a Wizard for 10 hrs straight and still be able to touch and hold either transformer and it will be warm but not hot. The build quality is second to none and the components are of the highest grade.

Scorpions ? Alice Cooper ?

Are those guitar cabs on the far right without grillcloths ?

Those are bass cabs similar to SVT cabs

Ok. I just read this morning, after my prediction yesterday, that the Scorps and Cooper are touring together. So I'll stand by my prediction :D

i've heard the Rock Standards were not that great. I have a couple nice 60's plexi Marshalls, how much are they going for these days? And how many of them are "great" sounding ones. I know I've been thru a bunch of Marshalls over the years and kept 3 of them....

When did you first pickup a Wizard? A friend of mine had a Wizard head way back in the 90's. I think maybe 1994 or 95. Someone sold it to him cheap believe it or not. It was actually a guy named Jack Frost. Somehow that guy Jack frost had a ton of gear.

Anyway, that head my friend had just KILLED, i mean it smoked most any Marshall i heard. I owned a 68 short box Plexi tremolo and after i heard his Wizard i wanted to trade him but he wouldn't budge. I know they're a simple amp and cost a lot, but damm, the thing had such balls and crunch to it.

good example. i bought a 73 superlead from ebay in early 90`s for cheap. i got it sounded like shit. took it to guy close by and got it back/ still not there by a long shot. finally talked to greg germino and took it to him. opened it up and within 30 secs" i see whats wrong the output tranny wired up wrong/ on and on and on. diagnosed 6/7 fucked up things some idiot did to it in 2 minutes. left it for a week and picked it backed up, instant anything you wanna play through it. lynch/ allmans/ fandango /even vh :aww: all with your guitar volume. i ask him what he did to it to make it so killer? he replied i put it back to stock the way it is supposed to be.

the wizard was 2001. sold it to a guy in virgina. i bought from a guy off the internet either h/c or gearpage?

If i needed to get a vintage Marshall I'd just get a Germino. From what I've heard, they just have THAT sound nailed, IMHO.

almost the same case for me when I inherited a 82' JCM800 100w head back in 86'...as soon as it was brought back to stock, low and behold, it sounded like it was supposed to sound!
