No. Plus i still did not find a Clip that really convinced me. Brams Clip was the best so far and he had all switches "off" i think. Whatever "Off" means. Stock? IDK. In the meantime i'm looking forward to my Marshall Eddy's gonna mod for me.

I’m the exact opposite lol. Had a recto…. Did not like it. Got my Marshall. Love it.I was fortunate enough to own a 5 gain stage Marshall and play 2 other 5 gain stage modded marshalls with all the options. Absolutely killer amps but in the end I’m much happier with his recto mod. Simple, to the point and sounds insane. The Marshalls are great though, just wasn’t for me… I was constantly messing with all the switches and never could find the sweet spot. It really excelled at the super down-tuned thing. Which is great but I don’t have any business going below d standard

I should also note that his 5 gain stage sounded quite different from each of the donor amps which were all late 70’s jmp 2203s.

)110% agreed! Had 1 Marshall 5GS, tried 2 others, had 1 Carsbro 5GS and much preferred the 3 Recto mods I had, still have my Triple Rev F he modded (best one I've tried so far). I think the problem is guys are trying to make them sound like Recto's and they're just not that at all. Dial it in like a Recto and you get a not as good recto lol, but dial it in like a Hermansson and you get something great an unique that I felt was a similar sound to the 5GS's, but with a lot more character and thickness. They all do the crazy tight, attack-y, clanky thing Hermansson's do like no other, but I found the Marshall 5GS's to sound smoother (too smooth) and bland. Yeah ours are a bit different. I’m not boosting mine though. I run punch 6, bass 6, mid 6, treble I did 4 on my recording but could go like 6 or so, presence pretty much near maxed, tight depending on tuning 0-3, gain 6.
