All soldering finished, amp gets turned on Monday

What options you go with

everything except the fx loop. i really wanted to choose none and just keep the amp as simple as possible but after asking Henric about the different tones I've heard in his videos online, it made sense to just go for the variety of switches

I hear that. I just loaded it up to see what it’s fully capable of, plus if I ever decide to move it seems like the right move

I did think about the "what if i had to sell it" bit, but really try not to let that guide my purchases. more importantly if this amp can do what i have in mind, i dont think i'll ever sell it.....gonna find out hahaha

They’re nasty. I plan to just enjoy mine for now. Never know though! We’re all insane and buy and sell shit like crazy lol.

yea dude, if its a modern aggressive marshall tone that mixes with the HellRazor nicely, thats all i'm wanting from this thing!

And yes, the tone quest never ends lololol....eventually rick or henric or dave or someone will create something else and we'll all run in that direction hahahaha

I'm just guessing. And i was wondering about the fact he left the original board in.

all good, doesn’t bother me either way. I understand it might be less labor but as long as the amp sounds good, I’m a happy camper :dunno::2thumbsup:

Yes. It probably keeps a lot more of the original flavor. But it's a lot less work for the same price, isn't it?

A lot of the problem traces that have issues supporting high gain he’s shorted out and no longer uses. The rest of the board is just power management, phase inverter support, bias, typical things that would just be duplicate work for no reason. In my mods I’ll have the same type of setup where I use the original board but mount daughter boards and standoff tag boards mounted all over. The end goal is to have something that sounds great and is well built. He’s providing exactly that. His solder joints look great and it’s laid out methodically. I see nothing wrong with the labor versus the design choices made.
