Hermansson Mesa Dual Rectifier Multi Watt - Question

It is laying there for some time. Price is not bad, it is like used Recto + 1200E for Hermansson modding but proper boost for 100E make it as good as modded one. What is the reasson to bought a recto and want to sound like different amp ? :)
The Hermansson Recto’s have a very unique sound that is nothing at all like a stock boosted recto (even with a TC style boost). It’s not for everyone, you may even hate it depending on taste, they’re a bit polarizing, but I’ve grown to love it. If you want that sound and feel nothing else I’ve tried is like it. They’re very addictive to play through for me. I like them actually a lot more than his 5GS Marshall rebuilds

I am from EU too :)
I listened the example and stock recto is set to worst example of muffled sound and on puprose to make his mod 'shine'. Multiwatt Red/modern channel with dimed presence knob sound much more like his modded recto than this. The modded one trimmed so much low end so it is basically 5150/EVH amp. Every modding or amp designing is about compromises. You want lower mid recto grunt or tighness of EVH, You cannot got both.
I understand moding older Marshalls because donor old transformers are what makes them great but want to mod recto ? It is just wrong amp choice and wasted money :)
I’ve owned one of his 5GS Marshall’s and tried 2 others. I kept and preferred his Recto mods. They have more character and uniqueness to the sound and feel, but both do that very distinctive Hermansson thing. I can tell you they’re nothing at all like 5150’s/EVH’s, but I can enjoy those amps too. Those amps are super midrangey and nasal, while Hermansson’s are as opposite of that kind of sound as one can go lol (many complain they’re hollow if anything) and while 5150’s/EVH’s are tighter than Recto’s, they are nowhere near Hermansson level tight, sharp or attack-y. Not even close. Of course there are trade offs like you said and Hermansson are the exact opposite amp to get if you want low mid thickness. Get a Bogner, stock Recto or Diezel instead for that

I had Henric mod a MW Dual Rec for me earlier this year. It was cool but the lack of being able to control the tightness was limiting. Supposedly it's "worked into" the gain control but I never really noticed much of a difference up and down the knob. It also made it impossible to get tight low gain tones or loose high gain tones. If I had to do it again, I would do a 2-Channel Dual Rec so you can get the tightness knob and set it yourself.

Almost like being neutered..
For me, it’s also something about the vibe of the mids that seems to somehow be compromised.
I’d go Lenz or Ground Zero.
Actually, I’d do a Tremoverb,
-GZ’s mod sounds killer!!
I’d like him to mod a Butterslax… a Stilletto Ace…Telos-was that yours Helz’s
That was dope AF!!

Has anyone of you a Hermansson Mesa Dual Rectifier Multi Watt?
There's one available near me. Asking Price is 2799.-
I want to get some opinions, or better, clips, if possible.
My friend has one and I played through it, sounded sick. 2799 is an insanely cheap price for a Hermannson. The mod itself is 1300 bucks on top of the donor amp. You also have to ship to and from Sweeden. They typically go for 4000 used. 3500 at the lowest end I have seen. Hermannson is by far the best of the best when it comes to Mesa mods because it's an almost complete preamp rebuild. It's a very specific Meshuggah like tight tone though, so it's not for everyone. It is also the only Mesa Mod that holds value and causes the amp to be more expensive then stock. Most of the others causes the amp to lose value below stock, especially now that many people are seeking stock ones to get modded.

Here is some videos of it:
