Wow - I wish someone on the east coast would do something like this.
I very much appreciate James' ideas & accomplishments in this regard!
First the PUP Shootout, now the High Gain Amp Shootout (what's coming next ;) ) and I wish, someone here in Germany would arrange something similar! I'd be there - definitely

Larry

Larry, if a similar event happen in germany, you would OWN pretty much everyone IMO.

I don't know if something can be done to have a DINO 939 in James' shoutout. I just know Mike Fortin and Jon Schaffer have one in america thought.

No XTC, Quickrod, Ultralead?

We have 2 XTC's, new and old and I just got us a Splawn modded 1959 RI.

It sounds like my dream jam session.

I'm going to miss this shootout by a week. I'm flying in to LAX on the 26th and back out on the 29th. Man, I'm SOOOO bummed!! Maybe I can talk my partner into bringing a couple of Nitro guitars for you to jam on anyway.

Definitely, I dig your record, great playin.

We spent the day shooting out out cabs and speakers for the amp shootout. I got a killer cab put together, I videod the day, it's uploading. Should be up in a few hours. Orange straight with 2 V30's and 2 Scumback H75 (65 watt) speaker crisscrossed. Sounds brutal. Incredible combination, the Scumback's made it. The H75's have the perfect depth and weight to fill out the V30 that have more brightness and kack. Check out the video when I put it up.

Now you got me thinking about putting some H75 speakers in my Bogner cab

You are using the H75 or H75-LHDC ?

Keep on rocking

I think they are just the regular H75's. Those speakers are intense man.

The Cold Sweats drive my amps perfectly for hard rock/metal.

James,

Tagged this thread as a sticky for you, awesome shootout!

James has two H75 65w 16 ohm speakers with the regular dust cap, not the LHDC which is the large dust cap.

Jon Schaffer meanwhile has five DINO's, even one of my very early ones from 1993, but he'd never give one out of hands.
The same with Mike - I think that also he'd never give his DINO or British Purist away.

Sometimes I hate it, to be born and living so far away from the Mekka of Music :(

Hey man, I'm in the area and I can bring my VH4.

I see you already have one on the list, though. Lemme know!
