Just so you know, I never take anything too seriously....so don't worry about offending my masculinity....I'm not that type.

I just didn't know about that strain, so was ignorant. So I apologize.

I also wasn't trying to come off as a tough guy, so I apologize for that too.

I do things a certain way, and usually without all the doo dads most use.... because I'm poor, hard headed, and have generations of good steel hand tools that I live to use.....gets out my marital frustration. ?

I really do appreciate the knowledge, and info.

Your talking to someone who still hand sharpens most things with a bastard file.

I have stones and pucks, an electric chain sharpener....barely used. Give me some files and I'm good. ???
No worries and no apologies necessary brouhgam! I don't take small talk seriously or offensively and most here do not either so no sweat.

Letting someone else sharpen the chainsaw blades is my one country living luxury I allow myself but I'm thinking that will need to change if I wind up living further out in the rhubarb one day. My wife sharpens knives better than I do but she grew up further in the woods than me.

Good to know!?

Sharpening is my meditation. And sometimes, physical therapy.

My family hates it when I sharpen the kitchen knives, because they are dangerous when I'm done. Hahaha. But I do it at least twice a year.

I still sharpen my mower blades with a file and stone.....once a month....yep one of those guys.?

It just dumped snow on us for the first time in a decade. When it snows near the gulf down south everything stops. People down here have no idea how to drive in that stuff. Can’t even see the house down my driveway ?

Sharpening knives and cleaning guns is my meditation. Well shooting them moreso, but I like to spend time out in the shop building and cleaning and modding and what not.

I also sharpen my own lawnmower blades with a file and a stone. I don't fuck with chainsaws.

I inherited all my saws, so I guess I kind of fell into it.

When my dad passed, his saws had seen better days, and he never really taught me the INS and outs of them....so I made it a point to learn ....so I could use them and not feel foolish.

The old Husqvarna He used still has such high compression that I cannot get it to start very easy. But he was A very strong dude, and liked to make things difficult ...so he could laugh at my attempts and failures. It was his favorite pastime.?

So when I fired it up on one pull last fall ...I was very proud.

Chainsaws are kind of necessary where I live....it's like the one thing you need. Along with 4 wheel drive.

Oh we need both those things down here too, I just don't mess with saws much. My brother in law across the road has a brace of Stihls and he likes that shit. I spent the first 16 years of my life cutting wood and splitting it with a maul every fall/winter. I have no stove and no use for firewood and no use for cutting or splitting it anymore.

Same.

Stoves in the barn.

I just cut downed stuff in the road.... around my property. Mostly for campfire wood.

But when I was younger....every frickin day. It was my chore, one of many. Now I do it for fun. Yep. I am pretty boring. Hahaha.

I let my brother in law deal with the tree offal. He enjoys it. I had my fill.

I've had my fill too but when the TX grid goes down nothing beats a woodstove in your living room so the work and the mess are worth it IMO. Has saved me from freezing all night more times than I could count to the point that I don't ever wanna live on land without trees to cut and a woodstove in my house. Pretty sure that's why they've tried to regulate them out of existence cause then I don't need their shit anyways.

I'm fixing to buy a pair of wall mounted propane heaters so my generators can service my well and fridge if the power goes out. I have about 6 100lb tanks I keep full. Only propane I use is the gas stove. We go through one tank in about 18 months. So I should always have some on hand. I may let the bastards set a 200lb pig out back, I don't know.

Got a feeling that might change, After they fail miserably.
One of the districts outside Rochester has just under 200 busses.

But semi sales here are getting punished also.
In order to sell diesel powered trucks, they have to sell a determined amount of electric powered and from what the news outlet stated, they need to sell those electrics before they can sell the diesels?
It may be 1 electric for 4 diesel? Cant remember exactly.
Regional/International and Mack were being interviewed, trucks were selling like hotcakes during Covid, now new regulations...

I thought driving an automatic was goofy, now electric? :loco:

Having a hard time seeing these pulling a sick whore off a piss pot!
