... and we're getting 2 mid->high 30s (ºC) tomorrow and the next day.

I'll have to take 2 days off 'cause I don't run the 'puter beyond 33ºC in the house.

If you ever wondered why I've disappeared 3 times this summer, that's why.

Hasn't happened in the past 'cause in the previous 10 years or so we only had the odd single-day heat wave and I can manage that by cooling the house overnight to buy some headroom.

Those are perfect temps, you shouldn't be moving biggest jerks and dan's threads when it's that nice out. Wish I was there. It is raining cats and dogs here and it's chilly today. I got the woodstove cooking. Last weekend we hit 87 F on saturday then sunday was 60 degrees. Freeze possible later this week. Enjoy that weather for me.☦️

They were calling for a big ass storm and we didn’t get shit….southern part of the state got a foot though.

Easy way to do natural air conditioning. Well not easy but it’s doable. Shovel and some pipe…..

More effin snow...again on a Sunday. 3rd Sunday in a row I have had to deal with this ....I'm over it.

We've gotten like 7 inches in 2 days.

Put off snowblowing yesterday to focus on my outdoor chicken areas....then got more overnight.

Yay!🤣

I'm ready for spring.
Me too.

I've been in construction all my life. Almost always worked outside. I always hated summer more than winter. As I get older it has switched. I still don't love working in 100 degree heat, but I like it better than working in 11 degrees with a sub zero windchill.

Yep, the older I get, the more cold affects me. Same with the heat.

Used to hate cold weather clothing, now I have all this sub zero gear that I cannot part with, and sometimes wear indoors when I'm real cold. 🤣

Thankfully I don't have to spend all day in it any more, so I feel for you. Stay warm out there brother!

Going to the keys in April. In my mind I'm already there.

Nice. Never been to the keys, but spent plenty of time in the Caribbean...a lot.

April is when my busy time kicks off. Winter is generally my down time.

Sadly I'm too uptight to leave anymore, and haven't taken a vacation since my honeymoon over 10 years ago.

One day. 🤣

I lived in Tampa for a bit when I was young and hungry. Never made it to the keys. My daughter is getting married down there. Her and the wife have been planning it for over a year. Giant beachfront mansion with a guest house rented, all the other crap. If it wasn't for that I don't think we'd be going there either.

My natural inclination is to head for Montana or South Dakota as often as possible. My wife hates it.

Sounds cool, and I am sure it makes your daughter happy. Sounds like an ideal situation for that anyway.

Yep, run to the hills and forest. My wife ince hated it, now she is ruined and hates the city and all the normal girly stuff. So at least I get that. 🤣

Seen many marriages ruined in the woods, but thankfully I don't have to worry. 🤘

Could not agree more. Born and raised in the middle of the US. Grew up with no F' around winters from Late Nov / early Dec through the end of March (with the occasional wet snow in early April). Never bothered me. It was just the way it was. Now, every year that goes by, my tolerance for winter weather declines. Now I have this illogical, irrational anxiety about snow, Ice, slick roads and sub zero temps. We are getting HAMMERED this month. I am nearing retirement and the wife and I have always said if we were in a position to just hunker down during the snow storms, it wouldn't be that bad. Now were not so sure. We spent over an hr online yesterday looking at real estate listings in the Phoenix suburbs. I get the appeal.
