That amp sounds killer, David. A dry clip would be a better representation of it, but I can still clearly hear that that amp is tearing ass. Great work!

I along with a couple other guys can build what was Ronnie Chanpagne's Snorkler (He checked out my version of it (YouTube) with a big yes that is as close as you get remark.

As I said I can build the Snorkler but I wanted something darker and pushing to the edge of tube saturation. This amp on 4 will do a convincing Snorkler with the mids up but I built it to cut more and sit well everywhere it is placed.

I wanted to go darker with this, then add a 5th stage to really make it interesting. I look forward to some studio work with this un-named circuit.

In summary I wanted to build upon a legendary circuit but add greatly to the predecessor to take it further into the dark growling articulate place my ears exist within. I have arrived. (If but only for now...lol)

Below is the requested dry demo. Forgive my sloppiness as there is no excuse but I sure do have one.

THOUGHTS PLEASE

I will Likely open a new thread for it.

Thanks again, David Hopkins...♫

I like the 5 stage more than the 4 stage voicing wise. At least IMO.
I agree as it is fun to play over that signal and response for the first time. Nothing like a Peavey 5150, nothing at all.

The 4 gain stages sound like AiC in a box. A Les Paul and that amp is the tone.

You hit the nail on the HEAD (pun intended).

I wish to offer that but add to it even more nasty articulate analog growl & snarl with the ability to tune out the nasally mids produced by all of the .047uf caps in most guys versions of Snorkler's. There are many ways to skin a cat. But this cat is original.

Thank you for the interest and support.

Below is a dry version I did for you here at RT. Sorry I am rundown big time.

Man that sounds miles better dry through YouTube’s compression. Be proud of that circuit, that amp is screaming.

Hello glpg80

Thank you for the great words & coming back to post.

David

New clip is a lot better. You can hear the grind of the notes and chords.
Thank you psychodave

I appreciate the good words, support & honest opinion. Glad it helped you hear the detail you were seeking.

I agree, the dry demo sounds very good. (Not that the wet demo sounded bad, but we can hear what is the amp doing better)

I liked both clips, but lean toward dry as some others have said. If it rocks dry, it'll rock we, IMO. The amp sounds really grindy and mean. I love it.
