• June 16th, 2011 Robert told me that the unit was ready, and could be shipped. I opened up a digital credit card (E-card) and gave Robert the details, and he charged me $1,374. I had now payed $1674 for the unit.

• Immediately after this, Robert started giving excuses regarding why he couldn’t ship the unit, and a number of delays followed.

Pure speculation on my part, but one possibility is your unit was sold to a high profile customer (rock star) who needed it fast instead. If true, thats unethical and NOT COOL :gethim: It happens

It happens, ask Zachman about Andy Summers......................... you speculate well.

Sounds like someone never got the Secret Cameron Handshake! That comes with full LA street and forum credit. Bradshaw should honor Secret Cameron Handshakes I believe.

I may be way out of line here So I do apologise for anyone that will be offended but I do not like thieves. If these details are in fact true. (not saying they aren't)

Then instead of your Father....next time you and Steve K can pool up a little cash and find someone with some real street credit to get it taken care of for you.

Who knows you might even get that amp or some of your money back that way?

I hate it when you read posts like these and someone still sticks up for the guy... this is def. not the case here so he must be a total POS. He sounds like a total thief and should be exposed on here. I also tend to believe your gear was ready but was shipped to some high profile client last minute as well. Without the consumers (US) these people are nothing. Maybe they should be reminded of that more often.

sounds like Bradshaw should partner with Cameron as that have the same business morals....

I have seen a few threads on different forums highlighting the same problem. It's bullshit that established builders screw people over. Maybe someday it will happen to someone who can afford to sue him. He needs shut down permanently. Or some good old school violence. :gethim: A dozen broken bones might change his outlook.

As others have mentioned though, you should be using a bank credit card...they will refund your money in cases like this.

I miss the good ol RT days when certain of the more Psychotic members would take this opportunity to brag how they ordered the same unit as the OP, well after the OP did, and received it promptly.

Actually I don't miss that at all.

That is why you never pay all up front as your funds can be used for other projects or obligations, pyramid style, or miss-appropriated. To be honest, after getting fucked over by that thief Mark Cameron in a similar manner I will not do business with anyone that wants all money up front that does not have the product in stock, ready for delivery, or payable upon finished product with an invoice. If its so great, then it should falling out of the fucking sky and self funded due to demand. Unfortunately this hurts the folks that are honest, but you have to protect yourself as you can't count on integrity from some and they ruin it for others. Also have found that if you take them to court, they don't show up either to account for their actions, again that problem with integrity..

Just to show you how well things can work, I dealt with a guy in Croatia recently to buy an effects pedal, developed interest in purchase, he built them, told when they were ready(many), received the invoice, payed him, and received the product.....AND he responded to see if it was delivered. Company was Drybell effects products. Every customer was treated the same, and you did not have to be Jimmy Page to get a response out of them.

That sucks,
Thanks for posting your experience with Bradshaw. I was really considering have him build a custom switcher for me, but decided against it do stories such as yours. You might have had better luck if you were in Toto.

Sorry to the O.P. That sucks to say the least. I've heard stories that he's a shady dude but never knew what to believe, until I heard about Steve K. Now, your story is enough to say for sure that the dude is a thief.

Hey voodoo, as far as a custom switcher, have you seen Kyle Rhodes' work? Looks insane!

Just goes to show you that sometimes it is surprising who are the problems.

Alot of people make comments about Cliff and Fractal sometimes but I'll tell you, I have never had outstanding customer service from any company (music or otherwise) as I did with these guys.

I had a problem with my old unit due to something I had done accidentily when I updated the firmware. Thru the whole process of trying to figure out what was wrong, someone kept in touch with me on the Fractal forum AND in emails. Eventually, when it was decided that the unit had to be sent in and fixed, I was given easy to follow instructions on sending the unit back.

My old unit arrived to them at 10:00 a.m. and a new unit was sent to me hours later. I sent and received my unit in under a week. People get frustrated with getting a unit, etc. but it needs to be known that they kick major ass in customer service and continue that service with updates, etc. They don't just release a product and stop the support.

Really sucks man. Sorry about that.

Makes me thankful for the small builders who don't do this and do the right thing.

Did you contact the authorities? I would contact the police in his town.

Customer support and getting the stuff you paid for in the first place is an entirely different situation.

Casey is a total pro. Ordered from him twice and in both cases the item arrived quicker than I expected and the build quality it top notch.

Yeah, I have heard similar things from multiple other people on multiple forums. He personally responded to one forum post saying he has been going through economic hardships lately and emailed everyone with a backed up order to see if they wanted a refund, which from what I understand may not be true, considering he is avoiding responding to you at all. If he doesn't give you your money, you definitely should contact the authorities in his area.

Its a civil matter, so law enforcement (on the local level) would not be able to assist him. However, it is all in how he articulates it (or CAN articulate it with an E-card), to the credit card peeps......not really sure what an "E-card" is. The local guys can try to scare him, but most of the time with it being civil, the politely decline to get involved.

Maybe state or federal law enforcement could help (ie. wire fraud, etc). Dunno.....

The fact that the OP took a $400 refund likely kills any chance of law enforcement becoming involved. Been there...they said accepting a payment nullifies anything "illegal" and that a civil case is the only recourse.

That would be the LAPD.....I had my CAR stolen a few miles from Bob's shop, and they wouldn't come out to take a report on THAT...had to file it by phone....and that was 17 years ago....pretty sure it hasn't gotten better

That was because they knew it was you. Why bother when you were going to find the thief anyway, rip his arm off and beat him with it. They knew that. They aren't dumb.

Thats my thoughts on his as well!!!!! These guys do this all the time. The sad part is our money is the same as high profile people and harder for most of us to get!!!!!!
