How did you get to know Diezel products?

In the beginning I noticed an endorsement on Helloween's 'Master of the Rings' record. I don't know if it was actually the Diezel tone on the record, but actually it sounded better than previous Helloween albums. I remember loving the logo from the very beginning, it is very \m/.
Afterwards I paid attention to it on Tool's 'Lateralus' album. Although I'm not a big fan of their music (I like some riffs and beats though) I loved the rawness of the tone.
Then I heard it in person, lovet id and bought one, as simple as that :D

Although I'm a huge Adam Jones fan I'm never really interested in what people play.

I've known Doug & Jamie who import Diezel into the UK since before they were the distributors so that's how I heard of the brand!

You know....I'd used many other amps in the past but was mostly limited to Marshalls and Mesas. I never could get exactly what I wanted with those.

I bought my Einstein with only hearing some online clips, etc. I really liked what I heard! I was going to go with a Bogner Shiva which is a great amp but not for what I was after and thankfully I didn't. I then heard the Ubershall and was seriously thinking about that one but again, I wanted something different. When I saw what the Einstein offered that was different, I knew it would sound great. I love the 3 modes in channel one and channel 2 is just killer. Its the first amp that I have actually had to roll the gain back a bit!

Absolutely no regret or disappointment. Fantastic tone every time one turns it on. It's one of those keeper amps! I also have the 2x12FL cab with the Diezel speakers and I love that as well.
:)

Hey
I was just wondering which Diezel user band inspired you to buy or try out a Diezel or how did you get to know this great company that is Diezel.
For me what led me to buy a diezel was the band Tool and of course Adam's vh4's

Comment.....

I've never bought an amp because of someone else or band playing one, same for a guitar. I got into the Einstein by trying one out by chance. I was at GC and saw the Diezel and figured what could be so great about it? Played it and couldn't get it out of my head for a week so I bought it. It's a keeper even though I haven't been playing it as much lately.

Adam Jones.

Although, I don't actually own a Diezel.

I've known about them since about 1998. But, have never actually bought one for some reason. Although, I'd like to.

So expensive, though!

I always loved Hetfield sound on St Anger, I loved the Smashing Pumpkins sound too, but I wait to hear a real one in front of me in a live at Geneva to decide to buy one. This band was "The Ocean" a German metal band. 1 month after I bought my VH-4 :D

I walked into San Francisco Guitar Center and they had a VH4. I started playing it and then I pulled out my credit card. I was willing to fight to the death for that amp. Never looked back since. Next amp I buy will be a combo Einstein.

When I heard Tool for the first time, I thought how the f%$# is he pulling the guitar sound. Later I found out it was a Diezel and thought I gotta have one of them.

which album do you suggest me to hear the diezel sound? thanx

in my personal case i always heard good things about Diezel amps from Smashing Pumpkins' interviews.... from forums and so on.
then if i'd went to buy another amp i'd got myself a Diezel.

so after i sold my marshall dsl 401 i decided to make me a big present ;)

i wanted something different and Diezels are ;) i needed a hi gain amp, a true tube amp sound not pedals....

i watched Randall amps... rm100 head, with switchabele modules...maybe the new KH head... but i don't want to play just Metallica...apart that they didn't catch my attention so far ( then i already have a Esp Kirk Hammett 2 guitar :P i'm not a freak fan boy), then Brunetti Pirata 141 head..but i read it sounds awful at low volumes..

so only a Diezel amps seemed to give me that possibility.

after i listened to the Herbert clips i understood that it was my amp, i love its sound, so personal, recognizable, big. i call it the Coca Cola sound

Matt Bellamy! Then came here and on some other sites and heard nothing but amazing compliments being paid so I went to see what all the fuss was about and got me a Herbert and I utterly love it

I suggest you the last Smashing Pumpkins, the guitars are very important in the mix and their sound is very representative of the real Diezel tone.

local musicshop....

"hey folks - oh, new amp?"
"yea - Diezel, new brand from Bavaria. Sounds cool. Wanna playit?"
"Sure, wyh not?!!?"

10-15min. later...

"so, what do you think about this amp?"
"sell me this shiat - NOW!"

First time i´ve noticed Diezel was in ´95 or so in the german guitarmagazine Gitarre&Bass. It was a review of the VH4/VH4S. But it was way to expensive for me ;) 1 or 2 years later i heard the VH4 live , played by a guy of a top40 band named LA Crits. Amazing Sound, but still unaffordable

Cheers
Markus

For me, I was ready for a change amp-wise and went down to the local boutique dealer to try out a SLO-100, an Ubershall, and anything else that was nearby. I had no knowledge of Diezel whatsoever at the time. On the way to the shop, I thought that I'd end up with the SLO as I had a 92 model that I really liked, but sold for some reason.

I tried all the brands/models that were in stock, and had various opinions on them all. The Herbert was next to the Bogner and SLO, so I thought, what the hell, I'll give this cool looking amp a try.

NUF SAID

versatility, tones galore, and awesome customer service
how could this amp not be a serious contender in anyone's amp considerations, style withstanding?

Peace my brothers,

Stu

All of them have Diezel vh-4. I would advise aenima for a more raw/dark Diezel and a 10,000 days for a Diezel combined with some other amps like bogner and rivera. Remember that in Adam's sound is always that early Marshall that he owns...always.
Now to represent all that greatness Chanel3 of the vh-4 you have to listen to songs like lateralus, the grudge and so on....
Peace.

There is no Diezel on Undertow.

Aenima is a mix of Diezel, Mesa, and Marshall
Lateralus is Diezel and Marshall
10,000 Days is Diezel, Rivera, Marshall, Bogner, and some others

He's got some great sounds. :)

It would be kinda of impossible for Adam to come up with a Diezel in the Undertow era. They simple didn't exist at that time :D
I also have a show of Tool which was their first of Aenima era that did'nt had Diezel on stage for some reason. Only Marshall and Mesa.

I played a VH4 in a music store in Viersen/Germany back in 2001. At the time I played a Baldringer pimped Marshall dsl100.
I pluged my guitar into the VH4, played it and never wanted anything else. I just reached for my wallet and that was it.
I used to have everything money can buy , but had it all altered to my taste. Fender, Boogie, Marshall, London City, Engl you name it ...I had it. The Sound of the Diezel VH4 suits me and my playing. It is the only Amp that instantly gave me goose bumps...I love it. And the customer service is unbelieveble good.

Anyway...Nowadays my taste for clean an crunch Sounds is a bit different so I'm am thinking of buying a second Amp. But theres no way of selling the Diezel. Never Ever.

First time I heard of the VH4 was probably via Tool or Metallica just in passing, but didn't really hear one until I saw Matt Bellamy from Muse playing one live... that show was probably where I decided I was going to get one. Took about a year and a half after that though before I bought it.
