No no . Ya I’m still waiting but it’s not him . Sometime we will have to talk . I got butfucked by life lolIs this about the Larry
Thank you . Fr. Lmk know if you try playing pentatonics with just the first 2 fingers . It makes things easier once you allow yourself the other fingers back inI get that, and can empathize. Sorry you’ve had such a tough stretch man, hope it swings the other way soon!
Thanks bro fr . It was hard for me to talk on video
You got style . I’m in Ohio . Are you ?I got the same hat on, only mine is black.
Great comment . Thank you fr . Will read againNearly every interaction we have with others, we have some goal. We are selling ourselves, our message, our goal. Whether it's a job interview or getting a date...it's sales. You're selling yourself, your idea, your product, etc. to others.
For work, I've had to do public speaking / product demos at large events / technical conferences to dozens, hundreds and thousands of people, including unscripted Q&A sessions after my presentations. I've been doing this for decades, and I have a team of younger sales people that I help with their presentations to make them more effective, focused, organized and targeted for the objectives (ours and our clients').
Before my presentations, and now before people on my team present to our clients, we do dry runs / practice; and I critique - what works, what doesn't, and things they do.
Some things to think about and practice
What are you trying to say? What is the goal of what your saying? What key points are you trying to make? What objections, resistance, rejections are you trying to overcome? What do you want from your audience? etc. Have a goal, and a starting point; and then points that build up from the start to the end goal. Or, do the opposite, often more difficult, make a bold goal statement first then show how to reach the goal. For example, "want to know how to improve your accuracy and double your speed in a few days? then you'll want to watch this video where I give you N steps to go from slow to shred" - lame but just to make a point...this way you grab their attention up front first, then show them how it works.
Script it out, at least key bullet points with hints. The points should be starting with the goal/objective and showing how you get there or building toward a goal, setting you up to score / win.
Rehearse over and over. Keep your message focused and on point. Don't rush the words or drag them out, speak clearly, deliberately; use inflections and emotions, not monotone. use bridges to "connect the dots / points", so what your saying flows naturally, logically, eg. "so once you have this technique working accurately at speed (short demo), then what's the next thing you can do to take it to the next level?" you're trying to bring the audience along with you to your goal...and keep them interested.
Practice in front of a mirror, and record yourself and watch it.
When you watch yourself, pause and rewatch sections you don't like, take notes of what you do that you don't like. You'll notice things you do, facial expressions, pause words like ums, ahs, uhs, like, that you want to eliminate; gestures that look "unnatural" or "fake", etc.
Your eyes' focus, and facial expressions even with the "tough orders / words" didn't match, your face looked nervous even scared; i.e., the words and facial expressions didn't match...probably more, but I only watched it once.
You didn't learn how to play guitar well without practicing; you're not going to learn how to deliver presentations / public speaking without practice either. It's a skill; those who do it well, make it look easy and natural, whatever it is, sports, music, or videos.
Good luck!
Yes !Fuck the exercise. I wanna know where’d you get the Dr. Seuss hat?
I honestly can’t find hats like these anymore , I got this 20 years ago exactly .
I have a strange sense of humor . There’s some humor in the video . It’s hard to tell but I act dumb alot . I’m a comedian as well . I kinda do weird shit like this all day lolNearly every interaction we have with others, we have some goal. We are selling ourselves, our message, our goal.
