I got perma'd from TGP 2 years ago, was bant about a year and emailed Brian, explained my side of the situation.
He let me come back.
They can tend to overmod a bit, the flipside is a forum that plays favorites or runs rampant.

Bash it all you want but TGP does a great job of keeping the assholes in line. Is one of the best places to get actually "answers" to all kinds of topics and is "thee" place to sell gear.

There's a lot of traffic over there and the classifieds are good for selling. But it's curious how selective they are in what they allow. You can trash Mesa all you want over there but say one less than stellar review about other "TGP approved" brands, which happen to be expensive and you get PM's and emails.

That happened with me when I said that I didn't like the Timmy much with my Fender Bandmaster reverb and preferred my Maxon OD-808 with that amp. I love the Timmy with other amps. They jumped on me hard, how dare I say something bad about the Timmy. I really like the Timmy too.

I have seen this here too, on a recent thread it was implied that anyone who doesn't like and use noise suppressors is an idiot.

TGP is pretty snobby. I don't deal with the elitist nonsense well so I simply don't go over there... It's too much for me to stomach but they DO spend some serious cash over there. That's one thing I can say. I cant post in the classifieds because apparently I have to contribute monetarily to do that.
