I think I want a Synergy Rig

I had a Randall RM 100 mts rig years ago and loved the concept but hated that amp, the loop was basically unusable and I had lots of issues with the amp functioning. The new modules sound great. Who has one? Pros and cons? Now that you've had it, lessons learned? Still love it?

I'd love to hear some feedback!

I use a SYN-1, SLO module, and a PS2 as my main tone these days. Love it!

Had a few RM100'S and many modded modules up until about 5 years ago. Those heads weigh a ton. Other than a Jaded Faith modded Brahma, I don't miss them.

I have a Syn-1, favorite modules so far are Powerball, Ultra Lead and IICP. They sound great.

My only gripe, and it prevents me from considering a Synergy setup for live use, is there’s no module with a clean that’s clean enough for my EMG’s. The TDLX breaks up way too fast, the OS even worse. My best clean module is a MTS KH1 that I had modified by Jaded Faith to break up later, it’s still not good enough, I have to play super light to avoid break up and even then it still farts out on the low string. Will they ever create a module that stays clean for actives?

I have a Syn 2 running into a Mesa Strategy 400 ..... love it ..... I've been through almost all the high gain modules and settled on the Bogner Uberschall and the Fryette Pitbull as my favorites .... the Soldano sounds really good also ....

I have 2 Synergy syn-2's daisy chained and run to a Randall RT2/50 and is midi controlled . Sounds great and is a ton of fun. If I gigged I doubt I would use it because the setup is just too heavy in the rack mount I have . The other problem is a lot of these modules sound pretty much the same some just have more features on them which can be a huge rabbit hole to go down. I had a ton of modules but sold a lot of them off because of that. The few I have left are pretty much Marshall based.

A trick I learned was to use a clean preamp pedal in the 'to amp' loop. This gives you another channel added to you Synergy. Find an ultra clean preamp pedal to use.

I only had a synergy rig briefly but I absolutely loved it. Only sold it because I caught the Kemper bug. I’ll definitely be getting synergy stuff again in the future though.

I got a Syn 2 and the Uberschall, IICP, 6505, Powerball, and Ultra Lead modules last month when it was all on sale. I am loving it so far. I think most important is that it has a nice dynamic punchy feel to it. It don't have that smeared together feel a lot of the digital units have.

With the new slo pre amp coming out I’m really looking at synergy to put together a killer “mono stereo” rack setup. Classic slo mixed style mixed with a synergy modern on the other side of the poweramp. Maybe utilizing a fryette 290 or one of the big mesa’s

I own Two Syn-2’s with the iiicp, XTC, Vai, VH4. Good flexibility, I’ve used it through my KSR PA 50, right into Two Notes Cab M+ and into the AxeFxIII. All sounded great. I bought a little Hotone 4 button midi switch and it works great in channel switching too.

I absolutely love my synergy setup! I’m using the SYN-2 into a KSR-PA25 and a Mesa rec 2x12 cab. 11 rack for the fx. I have the
Uberschall
BE-DLX
SLO
2CP
Modules and I can’t stop playing this setup.

It’s darker then the rest for sure. It’s fun to solo on because it’s never shrill or pearcing, but don’t care for it much for chords and riffs. It does give variety to the other modules.

funny .... I was already thinking ... I would probably only use it for leads ....
