Iv'e bought more than a couple of guitars from him, his used prices are pretty good but he's way off on his Peavey prices. And he even want $1600 for a Wolfgang Special.  He sells used PRS Custom 22's and 24's around the $1600-$1700 range which is pretty fair. And he alwyas has LP's under $2000.
Does he have any LP's that are not Classics? If he has an R7 for under $2k I'd be all over it!
Nevermind the Les Paul! You go play Y2D now guy! :gethim:

:D

My next guitar is an LP... :D

I have a Les Paul copy that sounds great..real meaty thick gain tone. No denying they sound good.
I can't get into the body shape/contour, weight, knob controls....I wish I could actually, it sounds great.
My bass player likes the sound of it more than any guitar I've gigged with with him. He wants to buy it from me.

You have to find a lighter one. Put 9's on it. Have it set up great... and it will rock. But yeah... playing past the 15 fret is not going to happen... especially for me and my little girl hands... :D

I don't know why Gibson doesn't release a new model with better upper fret access? The PRS SC i had was pretty easy to play up past the 15th fret.

It wouldn't be a real Les Paul then...besides PRS has done it. Gibson probably doesn't want to copy guys that are copying them. :D

It may change the fundamental design of the guitar... and change it's tone...
Like PRS, while it's about 80% of an LP, sounds nothing like an LP to me.

An Edwards isn't a real LP but i might buy one of those before i get bent over by Gibson :D Once the headstock is refinished with a Gibson logo I'd feel much better with it :)

I've played Shredders Edwards... It was a really nice-sounding guitar, but the hardware and overall feel is NOT like an LP. Not even close.

Ya...gives them a great resale value too!

I kid.

BTW the fret access on the Silhouette is awesome...same with the Axis.
With my Silhouette Specials I can very easily play between the 17th and 21st frets.

Check out an SC 245. The regular SC's had the 25 scale length which i think gave it somewhat of a different tone from an LP. Funny thing is i have played plenty of Gibson LP's that sound nothing like a real LP.

Oh I know... but they've been really good the last couple years. I've played one great LP after another since 2003... PIsses me off!

Hmmmm, i felt the same way about a Tokai that Paige owned. It felt like a cheap toy. I have to play an Edwards before i take a chance on one.

Yeah that's a good way to describe it. The hardware felt cheap as did the finish. But it did sound great.

A few years ago in NJ Guitar&Bass Center he had a Gary Moore LP, and he only wanted $1200 from what i remember. I wish i bought it because the price on those models have jumped.

I vaguely remember that model... it was a slightly plainer-looking standard right?

Nice guitar danyeo! I regretfully sold my silo but I still have my Axis. My next one is gonna be a p90 axis....I also love those necks baby!!

btw...nice set of sticks you have there ;) What's your handicap? I sold all my Berthas and got a Ping G5 that gives me an automatic slight draw everytime and a Mizuno 3 wood that I can hit with total confidence everytime. Just sucks to spend over $300 for a driver and you get $100 for it on trade in

Oh the golf clubs! They were given to me as a gift from my Father in law. He retired to Hawaii last month. I'm going to have to learn how to play so i can hit the course when i go to Hawaii. I'm going to just keep the #7 in my car and hit up driving ranges when i can.
