Nice guitar danyeo! I regretfully sold my silo but I still have my Axis. My next one is gonna be a p90 axis....I also love those necks baby!!

btw...nice set of sticks you have there ;) What's your handicap? I sold all my Berthas and got a Ping G5 that gives me an automatic slight draw everytime and a Mizuno 3 wood that I can hit with total confidence everytime. Just sucks to spend over $300 for a driver and you get $100 for it on trade in

  yep, i noticed them also! look like X-14's? i've got a set of X-14's i leave in the car, and a set of Slingshots that stay on my cart at my golf club.

fuck that $300-400 shit for a driver, i allways buy year old models for a $100.

anyways, congrats on the EB

Yes, they're Calloway X-14's.

I found this in a local store for $750 and couldn't pass it up. It's a 1994 model and it's very clean, the neck plate is recessed into the body a little bit, don't know if they keep doing that. And damm, i just love these necks. I'm not sure what pickups are in it, won't know until i pull off the pickguard.

On both my newer Silhouette Specials the neck plate isn't recessed, it appears they stopped doing this.
I believe the pickups are Seymour Duncan, custom made to EBMM specs....unless they've been switched out.

Congrats!!!

Those necks are so smooth to play!

Totally addicting these necks are. The 24 fret Silo isn't far off from the Axis neck. I threw some 9's on it and it's extremely easy to play. I do like these necks a lot more than wider necks like the Jacksons or the Ibanez Wizard neck.

I think for a while EBMM used PAF Pros on Silhouettes...believe my Sil with the floyd is equipped with them.

Awesome guitar, Dan! I am a huge fan of EBMM guitars.

Nice score! I very much regret that I parted with my Axis....I absolutely loved the neck. In fact, I liked that guitar WAY more than any of the GMWs I had. EBMM makes a killer guitar (although, I hated the Petrucci I had).

How does the neck on this one compare to the Axis?

I really liked the neck on the Axis SuperSport i got to check out one time! It had the most amazing birdseye maple, and was super smooth to play on.

Im sure one of these days il end up buying an EBMM!

Feels similiar to an Axis even though it's 24 frets. They're all 1 5/8 at the nut but i think they are just a little different the higher up you go. I did own a Silo Special for a short time and that did feel just like an Axis.

The Morse, Petrucci, Luke, and 20th Anniversary Silo are noticeably different.

I'm not exactly sure what they were using for pickups before and now...but I did hear that they aren't using the same pickups now as they used to...hope that helps. D
