I've never owned a 1980-85 Charvel but I have (and still own) a model 2, 3, 6, and a Fusion deluxe (neck through). These guitars are absolutely solid and stable. They may have been made in Japan but they are the best guitars I have ever owned.

I've seen that, VERY cool axe !!! But I don't mind the Millenium headstock shape, and I LOVE the dual stacked HRF graphic on the blue marble base...I have a Wayne replacement strat head birdseye maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard and Sperzels on it already and a non fine tuning Floyd...and I just ordered 2 Duncan Customs (one zebra, one reverse zebra) so I can make a double cream Custom for it since Duncan won't do it anymore.

Those look great!! I love the look of the off white pickups with these colors. I've always loved the flame graphics on these guitars!!

Charvel Custom Shop? They won't take my calls. 2 years ago they stopped letting anyone order except Music Zoo so they could get caught up on their 2 year wait time. Then they released the Guthrie and the Jake models and that set them back so much that 2 years later, there is a 2 year wait still.
Supposedly they are going to let me get back on board in January.

I'll kick this off by taking two (black background and pink background) and I'll wait two years for them to get 'em done! We have to get the neck carve just like your old wood bodied neck and correct vintage body contours. All black hardware on the tremolos and correct shape to the bridge saddles too. Double cream pickups!

If you ever played one I don't think you'd say that...I've played a few pre pros and they are AMAZING. They feel and play like nothing else. To just look at pics they don't look all that special, but put it in your hands, you just have to play it to believe it.
