your exactly right.

see evh's amp is a cool thing, but to read all that other stuff was difficult to digest to say the least. no wonder there's evh haters out there.

i'm a fanboy, but some take it entirely to seriously. :confused:

any chance you have a scan of that? i've been trying to find a pic showing his actual 5150 settings with no luck. just curious to give them a shot and see how they differ from my usual 5150 settings.

Found that April 1994 Guitar Shop mag with him discussing the 5150 and his personal settings.. I will scan it Monday wont have access to a scanner until then..

I sent Dave a message on his thread and he said all he did was clean it up and re-bias it. He said that all tubes were the standard JJ's. He must have meant that he re-tubed it with JJ's because in the pic EVH's head clearly has Sovtek powers.
 
Yeah, I remember seeing these pics a few years back and I think it was Dave Friedman who said the circular burns were from the feet of other amps, meanwhile, I'm laughing my ass off because I've seen those burns plenty of times before. While I was never a fan of crack myself, I've known a few others who decorated their coffee tables with the same "amp feet burns". :lol: :LOL:
 
Thats def crack pipe burns lol. And cigy burns from the look of it. Eddie is clean now as far as i know so good for him!
