People that herd to sell something they see someone else is selling on a forum.
Like "oh look that person is selling X, I better put mine up right away at a lower price"
That person is lamest.

I only sell stuff when I need to or want to get rid of it. And when I do decide to sell, I want to sell fast. Having said that, I check the listing to see what others are selling similar items for, and always try to price competitively below it. It's pretty much they way the entire global economy works.

Exactly. I don't have the time to wait for someone to try to sell something for it to be my turn to list what I'm selling. And you can damn well bet that if I'm selling something that other people are selling, I'm gonna be priced at a point that mine will be the first to sell. If you can't handle taking a loss on selling your gear, you shouldn't be in the game or you should be prepared for it to take awhile to sell.

Putting a guitar on grass and dirt for the picture and then saying its mint or brand new.

I hate that with a passion

The "look how nice my lawn is" ad. Be like selling a snowblower and posting a pic of it next to your Marshalls...sort of. :student:

Listing an item for $20 less than retail and wanting $50 shipping when shipping is free on new purchases.

"Feelers". Go feel yourself and stop wasting our time

This guy posts he wants to buy a Kemper. I pm and say i will sell mine and even let him talk me down a bit. He agrees but will pay me in a couple days. Guy disappears of course only to show up on forum talking about other Kemper he bought.

At least have the class to tell me you are backing out

Both of these.

Also, dudes that ask to return shit. Do I look like GC?

Anything wrong with it? No.

Broken, doesn't work, scratches etc? No.

It's used gear, it's not perfect, but you 'just don't like it'? Be a man and sell it yourself. Stop wasting my time with shit because you think you're special.

I've had to deal with 3 of these motherfuckers in the last 2 years and that's 3 too many.

I've had really good luck buying and selling here but what bothers me is some of the folks that have really unrealistic pricing on some items. I mean....you've had that guitar sitting there since last September and you keep bumping it weekly. Perhaps you should price it a little better to get it moving?

It's used. You used it. It's been played and fondled. I don't care what edition or version it is. Price it fairly and stop wishing upon a star.

Either this or tell your Wife or girl you're fucking keeping it and she can get the fuck out rather than have all of us thinking your a fucking idiot.

oh frick....how lame

that and the OBO's and the constant Bumps. I mean, the search button works pretty well.

I hate the tire kickers and clowns asking for clips when they damn well know they don't have the money to buy. They seem to do it in almost every amp sale thread.

yeah, I always hated that one!!

how about the guy you did a few deals with who is kind of local, and when you sold him the different items, he expected you to meet at least halfway and then knock quite a bit of cash off, but when you want to buy something off of him, he wont leave his house or knock even a dollar off!!!

Yup, this shit too.

Gimme a break....you've been bumping it for three months and it has 5,000 views but it's at 3 pages and all the responses are you bumping it? IT'S NOT GONNA SELL MOTHERFUCKER. Lower the price or throw it back in the closet.

My limit is like 2 weeks. If it doesn't sell it doesn't sell; that means the right guy isn't out there or he doesn't have any money. I have better things to do than bump something every day for three months. Jesus.

I can't stand those tire kicking, information seeking time wasting mother fuckers. Goddamm I've had more cock suckers ask for more pics, different prices, this that and the other thing and then disappear like a fart in the wind. Won't reply to pm's or emails. If you lose interest or whatever, at least have a little class and tell the buyer thanks but no thanks instead of wasting their time fucking them around. Fucking dicks. Rant over

Selling something used for a new retail price because it is "barely" used.

exchanging pics, emails, phone calls, negotiating only to be informed that the buyer now has to sell stuff in order to purchase what you are selling.

Feeler ads....just checking interest levels.

When the listing talks of how awesome it is, best ever, greatest amp/guitar in history yet they are selling it.

Sale price is X. Trade price is X +Y + Z + X-B + M.

No trades but I am open to trade offers, try me, the worst I can say is no.

that is an irritating one, the guy who has many guitars or amps that are the best ever, even thought they list multiple items, each is the best ever.

People are free to do what they want but I just had one that was kinda nuts. Been listed for 1575 obo for 4 months now. I offer 1450 and that was rejected. Amp sells new for 2100 so I though my offer was pretty fair given how long it had been for sale and the fact it said obo in the ad and the amount of bumps.

Oh well, I guess someone else will buy it. There are so many good deals out there right now, it's great to have cash and not be in a hurry.

I don't like the term "best ever" but I have to say I have sold some awesome guitars and amps and the buyers were floored. Just because I am selling doesn't mean it's not great. But if I say it's good, it is. I know people write how good something is and it's really not.
