All of the above pretty much.

I'm buying and selling less these days for a reason...

I'd prefer the guitar being on the dirt or grass than on the concrete driveway.

Worst for me? Messaging back and forth for days.
FINALLY....agreeing on a deal. Then you hear nothing back.
I put these dick heads on my mental "stay away forever " list. ;)

Or the next level of douchebag, making a deal, waiting a week on the payment and finally asking the "buyer" if he had sent it since it's taking so long. Only to get a reply that they never sent it and had to fix their vehicle instead. Really? You can't at least message someone and tell them you never actually sent it? They should ad a sub category in buyer/seller feedback to include a list of flakes

People that herd to sell something they see someone else is selling on a forum.
Like "oh look that person is selling X, I better put mine up right away at a lower price"
That person is lamest.

I only sell stuff when I need to or want to get rid of it. And when I do decide to sell, I want to sell fast. Having said that, I check the listing to see what others are selling similar items for, and always try to price competitively below it. It's pretty much they way the entire global economy works.

Exactly. I don't have the time to wait for someone to try to sell something for it to be my turn to list what I'm selling. And you can damn well bet that if I'm selling something that other people are selling, I'm gonna be priced at a point that mine will be the first to sell. If you can't handle taking a loss on selling your gear, you shouldn't be in the game or you should be prepared for it to take awhile to sell.

My point is people that herd up to sell something. if you watch the classifieds, the trending is very interesting.

One person puts up a Bogner Xtc.
Within a day or so, there are 3 more up for sale.

It's like, I better get mine up there so they don't buy his kinda thing.
It's just annoying to me.

Your point of view makes no sense. It's called the free market, like it or not. Just because someone already has the same item listed, I'm suppose to wait for his to sell before I list mine? Fuck that. And, usually there is a reason why that original one isn't selling....the seller has it listed at an unrealistic price and has two pages of BUMPS with no price drops. That is the "lamest." I have no problem with someone listing the same item at a lower price. Maybe that seller is actually trying to sell something and not fuck around about it...as well as show the true market value. What is so annoying about that? If you have a problem with the free market, perhaps you should consider not listing in the first place.

1. Being cheap on packing for high end gear.
2. People who don't have a spine and back out of a deal.
3. Offering lowball offers like a $500 off on the price.
4. Overprice gear because it's "vintage, rare or one off"
5. Saying excellent condition or mint when it's not.

Actually..my biggest pet peeve is.. "Paypal gift"
You told me that was fine.

I pay via gift to a very very select few..I have never asked for paypal gift in a sale ad but..I often get paid that way and of course I'm not gonna bitch but..it's never a requirement. What I mean is 99.99% of sale ads want paypal gift as payment..if the 3% or whatever it is ?? might hurt you financially..add it to the selling price. I just don't like sending a complete stranger a bunch of cash with no recourse if something goes south..

paypal gift is a bad idea. I bought an amp, and it didn't work, I contacted the seller and he never responded, I sent the dude a lot of messages, and he just ignored me. it cost a lot to get the amp working again. paypal said there was nothing I could do, that it was my fault for sending payment via paypal gift. never again.

BINGO!!

Ok so there's a thread... The thread doesn't have all the details so you PM for more info. Then while you are awaiting a response, somebody else says they'll take the item.

Well I kinda figured I'd have first dibs since I inquired first...

People that write me in response to a WTB thread I have and offer something that is way off of what I said I was looking for. Twice this week people offered me something that wasn't even the same model. At least they got the color right though.
