my mom is from Japan, and immigrated after the Korean war. We visited several times when I was a kid, but after my parents divorced, my mom didn't talk to family again. She left with an American, which already didn't go over well, and then to get divorced... Too much dishonor. Hard to understand without growing up in the culture.

One of my Grandmothers is Japanese, so I understand a lot of what you're saying since she pretty much raised me. It was made worse for her with her family since her brother died in WWII fighting against the US and then she married my Grandfather a US Marine who was in the pacific theater. Didn't really have much communication with family there until the recent social media era and have met and spoke with a few distant cousins since.

Yeah, so you know exactly what I mean. That's awesome you were able to reconnect. They treated me like a king when we would visit. She had 3 brothers and 4 sisters, so I imagine there is quite an extended family at this point.

The helios and helios eclipse are my favorite actual bogners i've played.

I generally find bogners voiced too dark for my taste - but I've played bogner modded marshalls and a bogner modded steavens poundcake that were spectacular

The Helios just seems to have more midrange "woodiness" and character for whatever reason - I like it alot
