i've always hated telecasters with a passion but....

They had to go and ruin a perfectly good Telecaster with EMGs.

There are some guitars that just don't work with EMGs.

The Telecaster is one of them.
 
i love it...not crazy about EMGs...but i love the 2 hum setup
 
I love everything about that guitar. It is the absolute anti Tele. :2thumbsup: ..which is perfect to me.

I have almost pulled the trigger on one several times, but want to play it first.

I bought one of the original Root sig Tele's, but it was made of Alder and was not a pleasing tone to me. Love the concept though... a metal guitar to piss off the Tele purists. PERFECT :rock: :rock:

This one is Mahogany, so should be more up my tonal alley. Can't wait to try one out.
 
I'm pretty sure I'd like it as a metal guitar, actually. Not a big fan of EMGs tho, but most metal guys are so I can't blame them.

But trashing teles? :gethim:

So many great players use teles and sound great with them, IMO. Its *not* an easy guitar to sound good on compared to say an LP, you need to have good touch on a tele and it rewards that.
 
I would dig the HH setup if it was blonde with an aged pickguard, and had Bareknuckle VHII pickups in it. That's a Tele I could really dig. :thumbsup:

I love the tele shape....in fact, I just said what the hell and ordered one from AMS. 3 pmts and if I hate it, I can return it. :yes:

I'm pretty sure you can get replacement tele pickups that are humbuckers that fit single-coil sized cavities. Stacked 'buckers or some such.
 
Not sure what bugs me more, the bridge or the lack of a Tele bridge pick-up...

Now that's a gorgeous tele. My hat's off to you sir. I wouldn't dare route such a beautiful guitar. Is that the Custom Shop Custom Classic?
