American made and 10% off
I think the 1500 is only available to manufactures, but a few of the screws and other pieces are stainless steel. Pretty sure that's about it, but there may be other minor differences. What is the difference between the FR1000 and the 1500?
Difference between this and American Select Series?
I keep hearing people say this.. anybody tried these guitars with Gotoh that are made in Japan by a Japanese company? It's the only guitar I've seen that comes with Gotoh.Looks to be made at the Corona factory.
I would have rather seen a Gotoh on these than a FR1500 (1000 with some stainless parts).
Difference between this and American Select Series?
Need to play one of these, but an ESP Eii may be a better buy. C’mon Jackson….No mention of an American Select series.
The American Series guitar are "made" in Corona CA. But are not allowed to use the Made in USA logo on the headstock because apparently most of the parts do not come from the US.
What does this mean?
Well possibly, the neck and bodies may be CNC'ed in Mexico and then hand assembled and finished in CA, who knows. But Jackson does have the USA Series which have the made in USA logo.
Difference between this and American Select Series?
Yeah, there's still Jackson MJ SL2's out there.I keep hearing people say this.. anybody tried these guitars with Gotoh that are made in Japan by a Japanese company? It's the only guitar I've seen that comes with Gotoh.

I think they are overpriced for what you are getting. Here is a review of the american series sl3 and virtuoso, and both have spring noise coming through. Not a big deal, but you would think for a 2k plus guitar, quality control would be better.
