Dear all Jackson guitars enthusiasts.... I would like to know or find out on the market value of a minty Dave mustaine Y2kV in solid color? Its believed to be from year 2000... Any kind market value check for such a kinda guitar?

They seem to vary - I've seen them as low as 1200, but others are asking 2k.

Solid colors, depending on condition can be up to $3K. The American Flag one pushing $4-5K.

thanks guys am trying to clinch on a deal for a solid black Y2kV.... its said to.be year 2000... and said to be of mint condition... seller quoted me 2650 usd as i have no idea if its a notch too steep for what he asking for... am still awaiting for his pictures as previously the pics he got for mee are all too small and cant see much of the surface details...

wonder if it turns out to be mint and good as new ... for the price at 2650usd will it be justified ?

That's closer to the top, for solid color. American flag would be awesome deal.

i have checked the pics and it seems mint and clean... its a charcoal color to be exact instead of gloss black... if 2650usd is way too high how much may i have to ask ? wonder if seller be able to wind down the selling price... will you guys spend such money for a used mint guitar if you are deeply infatuated with it ?

I wouldn't go above $2200. I'd offer $2000 cash and go from there.

Charcoals are the cheaper ones (same as gunmetal grey) when it comes to Jackson values.

Are you sure it's a y2K model and not a KV1? There is a KV1 floating around here for sale for $2600. Price is too high.

I personally wouldn't give more than $1500 for a Y2K, maybe a touch more for a KV1, tops. Standard USA selects can be had for that $1000-1300 range.

damn..... yup its a y2kv didn't know it can be down till so low.... but seems like seller is very keen on 2.6k for it to be sold off... is going to be a pass for me ?

I think $1500 would be a steal for a Y2K myself.

See if you can get it for $2,000.

+1 for $1500 being a great price for a Y2K, I've been looking the past 6 months and the lowest I've seen is $2000 ish

I looked for one on ebay and forums for a couple years and finally spotted one and grabbed it. It was around $1900 in black. They are relatively rare especially with the case (mine came in a gig bag). What the seller didn't say was the pickup he swapped out sounded like shit and the electronics were scratchy and did not sound good. So after getting some bourns pots and Bare Knuckles she's been good to go. There were some dings in the body but nothing too scary. If I didn't want one so bad I would have said something. Around $2000 sounds about right. Maybe a little more if it has OHSC and is indeed mint. A little more for the natural finish and much more for a genuine American flag.

thank you guys for chiming in... i guess i take it anyway since its so hard to find one now and harder to find one with no dings and swells... lol
