Sure, but if you are stereo micropitchshifting and delaying differently left and right, you have a chorusy effect already, which is why I still believe the center is just a touch of delay...

We could go back and forth on this all day...

Theyre really great units, and they go for cheap on Ebay too!

Its interesting because Doug Aldrich uses an SDE-3000 and an SE-70 in his rack too.. but uses them slightly different. He has both units hooked up to a line mixer...
The SDE is always on, and is set to a 28ms delay with a little bit of slow modulation. He uses the SDE to thicken up the sound and make it bigger. The SE-70 does all the stereo FX (stereo delay, pitch, chorus etc!)

Only thing is, most people i know who have used them have said they really need to go in a line mixer or they mess with the dry tone a bit.

Yeah, but that is what a line out/power amp is for. I can just connect the dry guitar direct to a cab and then take the line out to stereo effects, stereo power amp and more cabs. The dry sound remains pure...

I shoulda made that clearer.. i forgot to mention that was only when using in an FX loop

When using the lineout/poweramp method it would be perfectly fine and i bet it would sound fkn huge!!
