you have to look beyond his cheesy radio stuff, the guy is a blues master certified by the other blues masters. hes not for everyone, i cant say i listen to him everyday, really the only time i do is when a thread pops up here and i go back and listen, but watching this now i dont know how one can say he isnt an all time great at what he does. i know dead heads that were inconsolable thinking they were on a bad trip or something when he joined the dead, now they wont shut up about how great he is once they saw him.

Sorry man I owned the JM3 album. It is not on the level of mississippi seeds or burglar or pretty much any other album put out by people considered blues masters. I think you could use more listening, there are a lot of guys playing blues at or above mayer's level. And they don't have effeminate sounding vocals.

No way. he is a legend. His songs hold deep meaning for me. I aspire to one day harness his guitar skills and his facial expressions while soloing. They convey profound depth and a cutting intellect.
