Get EXACTLY what you want from GC in this case, but if they balk even the slightest, I would email corportate HQ for GC and let them know who and when they lied to you.
I believe they are acting illegally and deserve to get a barbed-wire enema for doing so.

To me, this is like buying a demo car where the milage was turned back and the car spruced up to look new.

Well I'm glad it all worked out because I freaking love the amp! I thought I had a problem because my amp was just randomly turning off by itself and come to find out the power conditioner I was using on the Line 6 wasn't able to power this amp. I thought it blew a fuse and couldn't figure out why it was turning off and not coming back on for a couple minutes and then it hit me and went to grab the conditioner and it was hot as hell... So I bypassed it straight to the wall and it hasnt cut off since.

when you bought the amp and the guy said it was new, what was it tagged as, did it say new or used and what did it say on the receipt? just wondering? Figured that might be a good place to start in trying to figure out if its used or new

Well he said it was new but was labeled used since they bought the remaining stock from a Diezel USA distributor... But the deal is all good now!
Man I love this amp and the people... emailed Peter a couple times and he is always great with the responses... You will not get that service with almost any manufacture

They really didn't "buy the remaining stock from the distributor." Terry came in to GC with a bunch of "his" amps and sold them to GC, just like anybody else dropping off used equipment there. That's why those amps were all old (2001, 2005, etc.) and not new ones...
