Just finished a couple SHM...GnR

Man I had somebody get me a doctor nailed on the A channel gain at 11 oclock knobs at noon and bright 1 and bass 1 . Had the same paf clint to it (using a Rio Grand BBQ) man it was just killer!

It was my idea for the new name of the GnR...Super Hot Marshall! Ya when a skilled amp builder tests if the module has been done correctly he puts all knobs at noon and plays it against the stock module, in this case SL2.

Great. I have avoided the GNR/SHM hype because I was never a fan of Slash's tone (I'm aware it's not limited to that, but that's how I justified staying away...)

But EVH's tone on VHII (Light Up the Sky) is my quintessential Marshall standard.

That is why his neck pickup had such a tubular sound to it. This really is a killer all things Marshall. Back off the gain and it has the sound I got with my EVH frankenstrat. That is why I want to change the module name from the GnR it is so much more than Slash's tone!

I mean it's great a bedroom to medium volume but when you hit gigging to beyond it just floors me! I had my Velocity Valve at 2 oclock and had to stand in the other room when I hit the G chord! Sounded unreal!

I agree 10000000%. This is the "quintessential" Marshall tone...Slash..EVH...Hendrix....Angus Young....etc.

It honestly can do all the Marshall tones we all love to death..but with more "beef" on the low end! It's a perfect module. Perfect...if you love Marshall...you are doing yourself a disservice not getting this module. Honestly. I was about to spend cash to get a Ceriatone 2555, but after Jeff sent me the first of these...I was like holy shit....THAT'S IT. That's the Silver Jubilee tone I always wanted again. But...its way more versatile than just a Silver Jubilee. Semi-clean tones on ChA with low gain...very hendrixy...mid-gain...very angus young / EVH...higher gain on ChB...I can even get some "No More Tears" Zakk Wylde tones... The EQ on this module is WAYYYYY more useful than any Marshall I've ever owned.

Agree Eric, and flip it to the LP neck pickup and you can get pretty convincing Sykes "woman" tone like the "Is This Love" solo..........just sick module all the way around.

Yeah Jeff, I mean it does sound good at lower/mid volumes too, but damn kick that bad boy up and look out!!
