I agree with all that's been said. The SL2/GnR/SHM has been in the rig since I've gotten it. It's not going anywhere! I really like it on the 5881 side and the EL34 side of the RT2/50.
Knobs pretty much at noon. I find most of my modules set close to that though. I try not to gush on about gear but with this Egnater stuff, it's hard!

Jeff, Too bad you can't put a voicing switch on the module that would switch between the original SL2 voice and the new one. That would be sweet. I understand the 2 circuits may not fit though. Just thinking out loud.

At any rate, the new SHM sounds great.

Gotta wipe "SL2" away and replace it with "SHM". May I do it by myself, or should I send it to US for authentic hand writing?

Damn you guys!!! :gethim:
I have been trying to sell off my m4 and power amp that I bought a few weeks ago since I dont need it like I thought I would. But all of this talk about the GNR mod has me wanting to try it. I guess I will hold on to my M4 and Rt-250 for a while longer and make sure if I want to keep it or not!!
Jeff, I will send my Sl2 out next week!!

That would be great!

My sweaty mitts have worn off the "original vintage sharpie writing".  I had to rewrite the names in myself.

+1 to everything said. The perfect Marshall module. Sounds great at all volumes, but cranked...LOOK OUT!!

I didn't have gas for this module till lately...I don't use my SL2 that often, preferring the EG3/4 to it, but maybe this SHM module might be cool...

Diego, man, if you have an SL2 laying around that you dont use then sending it in for the mod is a no brainer. You will only want to use the module more when it comes back. No doubt.

Look this module is really a lot more than Slash.

I can get a mean "Just One Fix" era Ministry tone out of mine! :)

I think that's what i'm going to end up doing! First I gotta take care of a few rack/switching things, and I'm moving next week on top of it so once I settle down I'll be contacting jeff :).

I think it'll go great with a lot of my guitars actually that have a somewhat darker nature to them, by the sounds of things. My McCarty is one of my favorites, but the stock pickups are a little dark but it KILLS with the bridge split.

PRS+Egnater = Happy Diego

Alright i can't take it anymore.!!

Where do i send my SL2 to get the GNR/SHM mod?

Send it to Jeff @ Egnater in MI. He'll do it for you. I am pretty sure it around $55 for the mod.

WELLLLLLLLL Worth it ;)

hi

I got mine 3 days ago .. what a great improvement ! Jeff you could call it .. VX2

Just want to say that this "whatever you call it" -module is very great! Even my shitty playing sounds good...at times.

Just got back from a two week vacation and guess what was waiting for me, a box from Hilly with a GnR, and a D/D. The "B" side of the GnR or whatever it will be called is absolutely AWESOME!!!! I need to get a hold of Jeff want a little more highs in the "A" channel, it seems slightly darker than the "B" channel.

Converting the T/D into a DLX/DLX is just as impressive.
