Sold on the Kemper and Liquid Foot+ 12+ controller.

My question is, I'm using in the studio and a few times per month live. What are the pros/cons between the rack and toaster?

Running with powered wedges so no need for a power amp.

Also, I know there are a ton of profiles but I want to profile my Splawn for sure. How hard has it been to make your own profiles that you are satisfied with?

Don't go with the rack because I have something in process on the bench that you'll want I'd you do. ;)

That said, I like the versatility of the rack. Put it in a case and it's portable just like the toaster but you could also stick it in your studio rack if the time comes that you want to.

The Toaster has more led lights, that helps a little bit when wanting to see levels in a hurry. The rack has the usb port on the front vs the rear for the toaster. I have not done profiles. There are so many good ones for free and for purchase. I have both the rack and the toaster and use it for live gigs mostly. I am going to use the rack for my main rig and keep everything in there (cable snake, wireless units...so it's a fast setup at gigs.

It kills live!

I went rack. I gig with it so I like the idea of the extra protection of the case.

Can't wait to see!

My "studio" is really just my iMac, interface and monitors so the toaster would be more aesthetic. What midi controllers y'all using live?

Behringer can't beat it for the money

There's no rate and intensity knob for modulation on the front of the rack like the toaster.

I've got a rack cause it sits in the rack space of my desk.

Hmmmm ...

Is it that inconvenient?

Not really, if your switching via midi and you have all your presets stored. For fast editing it's a little less convenient.

I have the toaster because I sniped it for a great price on eBay. :) That said, while I prefer the "idea" of a rack unit, the toaster has the extra LEDs and knobs but mainly, it's WAY smaller than a racked unit. I don't gig so you can put it on your desk so it's nearby. It's not only tiny but super light so for home use and recording, toaster. Mine is the original white toaster and I must say it looks super cool when it's up and running.

It's an amazing piece of gear either way.

It is for me. It's all connected to my interface so if I want to record I power everything on and I'm ready.

You can still adjust it but it doesn't have a quick knob on the front. I wish they did the modulation one instead of the reverb.

Get the rack. I had a toaster previously and totally prefer the rack now. I use mine live all of the time and in my home studio as well as when I have to complete contract work at another studio. I prefer the USB on the front as well more than at the back of the toaster.
