Vintage Tungsram are great tubes. I have at least 1 in all 3 of my Marshalls. I like them better than most of my stash.
A few things…..
Covid shut most of the world down. This and only this is what’s mainly responsible for inflation. Demand resumed, but NO supply-of mostly everything. Lumber, silicon chips, EVERYTHING. Building became impossible, so most stayed in their homes. Not selling. New families coming up? No homes to buy. Same with cars, guitars, amps EVERYTHING.
Prices jumped. People are forced to pay more.
It’s very simple, and it’s all about supply and demand. Occasionally I see a pre Covid price on gear at a GC and within the hour it’s gone.
Before some Polititard comes in to blame this admin on inflation; that makes as much sense as someone else blaming Covid on the last. It’s stupid, and wrong.
Oh, and gas prices? Set by commodity traders. Another stupid assumption that it can be controlled by politics.
If that were true than George Bush still holds the record for me when I paid 4.25 per gallon in my old Suburban 44 gal tank back in 08. That was one expensive trip to the Black Hills.
Supply and demand. More oil hits the market, prices go down.
Same with tubes, cars, guitars etc..
This isn’t hard to figure out. Hopefully most can wait it out on cars etc for production to ramp up again.
The country was shut down, more or less for most of 2020. Therefore, no poultry/beef/pork were being processed. So yes, the supply chain for EVERYTHING was affected.Lol.
Did food prices also go up because of covid, and supply and demand?
Sure was a large demand for the vaccines though, with a seemingly endless supply. And they were "free". Get your 2nd booster ?
Oh wait, you aren't from this country. Nevermind.
