Sorry maybe the former Governor didn't say he was forced to tell the flare story. I think he had someone in an alien costume at his first press conference after the event to downplay it..here is an interview with him avwhile after the event:

I have a $60 Samsung wal mart special. Couldn't tell you the model. I looked for low light settings on it but it seems like it's all automatically controlled or something other than macro/portrait/etc and flash on/off. It's a phone for morons that's why I have one. I can get a shot of the moon, but a small soft light in the distance eluded me..

Just saying there might be things on there your eyes aren't seeing on it's screen.
Would be worth a shot looking at the raw data if y'all ever happen to be in the right place with it on hand.

Ah, I understand what you are saying. I'll see if I can come up with something. As I said earlier in the thread the heavy activity lasted from June of last year, it just exploded, then peaked about the turn of the year, 3 weeks before the inauguration. It's been more sporadic since with fewer crafts and nights where I do not see anything. I had a couple scary moments during that peak time where I considered covering my windows at night because I was getting startled awake to a sky full of those things.

We get patrols of military aircraft here nightly back and forth to JBLM. Nothing crazy, but sometimes those aholes like to make our house shake in the middle of the night flying over low enough to set off our car alarms. Usually they just seem to go up and down the I5 and we watch from our front porch.

Same. Lots of air traffic here. I can see our local small airport from my back porch and all the coming and going plus we are on some of the mil flight paths out of San Antone. Lots of blackhawks and chinooks plus now and then an occasional F-16 or some old WWII warplanes. Seen some neat stuff. Of course when a civilian flight came through on the busy UFO nights they would disappear when the plane came through the area. I can't see some of those pilots not witnessing weird stuff up there.
