let's talk wah's....

I have the Xotic and the Petrucci Wah. I think the Petrucci one is best suited for my tastes. I love it.

My favorite is probably the Dunlop MC404 CAE Wah. I have 2 of them so it must be true (or not).

I also dig the Snarling Dogs wah. I have the Mold Spore and the Super Bawl Whine-O. Both get pretty rude and I like that a lot.

Of course, any wah collection isn't complete without a trusty 'ol Dunlop Q95, it's a keeper too.

might grab an expression pedal to use in the meantime with my ms-3....curious to try that....can also use it as a volume pedal later.

I find it hilarious in the world of endorsements that guys have sig pedals and amps and yet...they use stock stuff off the shelf. Vai with his wah, Nuno and the DSL's. I don't trust that George plays his sig wah either.

I remember going nuts with the things and then realizing it was just more shit getting in the way.

Saw a really good Pink Floyd cover band once and the guy must have had 8 of them in front of him
and was using them all often during the show.
Gets too much like a job at that point.

Flame away but I picked up a KH wah yesterday for 100 bucks and it sounds f’n great. I think I might prefer it to my Cantrell wahs.

IMHO experience ALL Crybaby’s are a waste of good money.
They just sound sterile with handy worthless options and not enough nuts to boost my damn solo’s a smidge to come on through.

The f’n solution?

RMC Wheels Of Fire
for the fastest Q Macaroni-style, or,
for THE super crunch rippage’ =RMC Wizard.
Fulltone Supa-Wah for the all kinds of killer shit.

The difference is so bad, I get it,
-just be a man and not a crybaby about it.

Don't use it a whole lot, but this was has been on my board for a long time. I like that it's just simple to use, don't have to worry about making sure it's clicked off. Plus I like the looks

Slash wah and Buddy Guy wah on my boards. I'm not a wah fanatic. They get the job done.

Friedman no more tears is one of the most versatile ones I have ever owned. and I have owned a bunch... Mike Orlando's signature wah comes in 2nd
Interesting - i hated the NMT wah. Horses for courses and what not
Then again ive lve never really liked any wah ive tried.
Maybe i should try a morley.

40 years of playing, I am definitely frequency deaf so don't take my word for it haha..

I've had a few crybabies and a couple Morley's down through the years and was looking to grab another wah. Not something I will use much....just a toy. I do kinda like switchless but not a requirement. What do you guys recommend?
I know you prefaced this with "just a toy", but I was in the Wah hunt for a long time after using my Morley Bad Horsie 2 for 15 years. I thought I would never be able to use a Wah with a switch after not having to use it but I was wrong. I picked up a Clyde Deluxe and am SO glad I did. This has the sensitivity, range and tone I personally want from a Wah. Couldn't be happier!

Always wanted to try a Wheels of Fire but could never find one to demo. Been using a Clyde Deluxe forever. I don’t use wah that much and like this one, so never had a reason to go on the hunt for what may be interesting. I used to use the Bad Horsie when I was playing live a lot, in the 90’s. That was actually a great wah and the switchless feature was the bomb.

Not much love for the Xotic wah? That thing is killer. I’d say it’s equal or better to the FT Supra Wah
