Go to a range and rent everything you can there. Join local shooting club or FB group. Lots of cools guys with great collections love to let others shoot.
I don’t do Facebook and I’ve rented every smaller gun available at the two ranges I know that rent guns, including the 365 and it’s variants, Glock 43 etc.

Sell a few guitars. You can’t put a price on your personal safety. It’s like a tattoo. You don’t go to the cheapest guy.
Sure you can. There’s got to be a few guns that I’ll like to shoot for a lot less than 1300 plus tax, I just need to persevere to find one. All else fails I’ll stick with Striker fire for EDC. Also not crazy about the idea of losing a gun that costs that much to the Police if I ever had to use it.
I have a few tattoos and you find the artist who speaks to your imagination and they don’t always end up being the most expensive. Especially an up and comer with mad skills but no rep to bank in on yet…

All that being said, I still wouldn’t say no to selling a guitar or amp or a few replaceable pedals for a nice gun. I’m just not giving up yet on finding a decent compromise.

I have a $450 striker down my pants right now

In the comments was this gold nugget…

“switching to your 10 year old son is faster than reloading”

Transition drills are the most fun you can have with your clothes on.

To be fair though, I have not yet tried transition drills with my clothes off.

I set up targets ( 3x5 index cards) on 3 target stands about 5' apart 15 yards out on the right edge of the berm.

Looking around that berm is another berm at 100 yards where a steel IPSC sillouhette sits. Between the two berms is another berm at 250 yards with another IPSC steel sillouhette set up.

Use a shot timer. Start with 4 rounds in your pistol and shoot two in the right 15 yard, then two in the center 15 yard. Then do a reload and shoot two in the left 15 yard. Transition to carbine ( load mag to 4 rd.) shoot two in the left 15 yard then two in the center 15 yard. Reload, then two in the right 15 yard, step around the first berm and put one on the 100 yard steel and one on the 250 yard steel. Subtract 1 second for each miss.

This is just one of various routines. We usually run for 2 minutes before beginning the drill. And it gets real fun when we go in at night and use the thermal and NV stuff. Regular white light as well. And I incorporate shotguns often.

Or belong to private gun clubs.

Though I do have a 30 yard range set up in my back yard for things like zero-ing optics or function testing.
