It's not like he has a mind blowing tone.
Sounds like a high gain amp being played like a high gain amp should be.
Who really cares what the hell he uses.
I'm sure if he recorded the CD's with a POD, it would still sound like Tool.
Tool to me is about the attitude and space they use.
Either way, Adam sounds like Adam.

Definitely, I like it when people hear what I hear. I'm on my 3GS right now. I was going to get the 4G but in the last couple weeks I've bankrupted myself with gear purchases .... Hey, have you ever heard Salival? It has a couple of awesome songs on it, "push it live" and "you lied". If you haven't it's a must hear even if it's for only those 2 songs

They're outrageous man. I bought one new when they came out and just trashed it, spilled beer all over it, scratched it up etc. Not like I did it on purpose obviously but with all the partying I was doing my shit being destroyed came with the territory Then I looked about 6 or 7 years ago to replace it and they were $150 for one NIB I think my buddy scored one for $90 used at that time. I don't really know what the prices are like now but it blew my mind then.

I think they are going for about $800 used in good shape. I have my original and two I found used in a old book store for $15 a piece last summer. I just made up that number for entertainment purposes.

Tone-wise, I love Undertow. It's raw. It's mean. It's dark. It's evil. But Aenema is probably their best album. However, I agree that Salival is my favorite release of theirs due to the live version of Pushit, Merkaba, No Quarter, You Lied and Third Eye. Holy shit I right about cried when I heard that version of Pushit for the first time.
