Looks like Andy Larocque has a Signature LTD coming out

I'm finding a lot to love about ESP/LTD/Edwards. No doubt I should have a sig model myself in the coming decades, lol

I think Schecter is owned by ESP but has their own in house management or something. Someone correct me if I'm wrong there....

The same guy, owned ESP and Schecter, but they're run very independently. So, technically, ESP doesn't own Schecter, the same guy owned both. Not sure where they stand now, I know the guy just died a few months ago.

Schecter and ESP are under the same umbrella in terms of ownership i believe
And I believe may share some factories as well.

Same guy owned both companies, but they were run separately. Of course they both used World Music in South Korea for higher end imports, but dozens of companies did.

Schecter was primarily focused on high end, USA made guitars back when it was purchased in 1987. Your Strat and Tele copies. When the current President was given the job in the 90's, he wanted to get away from the copies, and started the mass producing of their more hideous offerings. They've been through lots of changes over the years, for sure.

I've never heard anyone give a bad report on a NGD Schecter. I've looked at their semi hollow a few times. What's weird is they basically just reversed a Gibson headstock, lol. Reverse open book....

They make some nice guitars these days, but their focus on the metal crowd, all the bling and abalone and real hideous offerings in the early 2000's almost sank the ship. They had a roller coaster of guitars, most people disliked until they started classing them up again. I've had several of the Elites, (C-1 SLS, PT Elite, and the higher end Banshees), were all nice guitars. They still make nice Custom Shops, and some great pickups. The Pasadena/Pasadena Plus, and Sunset Strips are excellent pickups.

Hopefully Ltd (Esp) makes non fruity finishes for this. That purple Alexi sig they put out a couple years back has such a goofy color none of them sell. $6500 guitars that are probably awesome collecting dust.
Saw Andy many times since the 90's.
Best in the classic metal business.

ESP seems to be gobbling up every swingin' dick they can. They're poaching Jackson, Charvel, Dean, and Schecter guys left and right.

I still remember Andy back in the BC Rich Days. Him and Pete both were Gunslinger guys.
Kinda why I bought a Gunslinger….still have it too.

I haven't owned a Schecter in a long time...But been taking a hard look at one of these. Kinda their version of a "Snakebyte" but 25.5" scale and with Fishmans.

Did you own one? neck really that slender?
The Ultra Thin C is the narrow one with all Tuning Pegs on 1 side..
A regular Thin C is thicker with Pegs on both sides of the Neck and I do prefer it. I have both..

Mmm...wonder if there's tuning stability isdues with a neck that thin?
