That's a killer cab. I have that as well! I thought the slight slant would make it appear bright, but I see Bogner does it on some of their 212s. I wonder why it is fairly light. Either way, it is one of the biggest and ballsiest 212s I have ever heard/owned. I am curious about trying it with Super V12s!

Great Speakers!

I replaced my v30 in a 212 Randall with the Lynch Super V's..Huge sound! and cuts better than my band mate Mesa 412.

Which Randall 212? I have the USA NTX that came with the Neos. I now have Celestions in it. I also tried the WGS which are killer. Is yours the slightly slanted front baffle Randall 212?

How did you like the Neos? I would love to have a light weight 2x12...

I didn't like the Neo's either. I did like the weight reduction though.

WOW, a ten lb speaker????? I wonder the weight of my CL80 and K85!?

I see they are 8 ohms. My Randall cab is 16/8 ohms so I will have to remember this change if I install the Super Vs.
I would hate to be running mono at 4 ohms and having my amp set to 8 ohms since this is written on the back of the Randall cab since stock speakers are 16 ohms.

The Super V's aren't real heavy weight wise compared to many out there...The magnet isn't real big, and that's where the weight is in speakers

That is good news. Based on the specs, I would expect the Super V to be stiff at lower volumes. I think speakers sound good with a little breakup. I'd love to see how these compare to Scumbacks!

Really? Are they USA made? Tight, punchy? Warm? A big thing with me is I do not like one dimensional speakers,
I like them fairly warm at decent volumes, clean and dirty. I always felt lower wattage speakers handle lower volumes better...
but I know that is not always true.....speaker sensitivity plays into it. Did you compare to the WGS?

On a side note...I used to have one of those Ear Candy cabs. Sold it last year.
Hi Rich....Yes, I use it either by itself in a 1/12 cab, and the other one I have paired up with a WGS 65....it's a good mix.....if I had to use just one type spkr, it would be the Super V....warm, tight lows, singing highs, punchy but not obnoxious mids....really pretty amazing.....Seems to sound great with all my amps....not amp sensitive....and they are american made by Eminence,,,,sound as good at low volume as high volume...very 3 dimensional in my opinion....

My Scumback M55's break up more than the Lynch speaker..The Scumback H75's break up later....all 3 aren't really super clean speakers though...

Do you have a comparison between the M75s and the Super Vs?

Rather than the WGS 65 & Super V pairing....had you tried two WGS or two Super Vs?

The M75's have more high mids, and are more forward sounding...The Lynch's are warmer with sweeter mids...fatter sounding...I paired up a WGS65 and a Lynch, and it's a great combo..

I don't have any 4/12 cabs any more...All my cabs are 2/12's, 1/12's, and all open back...

With that description the I think that I am better off with the Super V. I tend to dial in darker tones and I agree that the Super V and ET65 is a sweet mix. Add in the E80 I have bouncing around in there too and I have lots of sonic ground covered.

I am hoping to be bored enough this weekend to record some clips of each speaker.

fek, I like darker tones as well....the M55 Scumbacks work well with my Tourmaster, but that's a different animal than the MTS or Egnater modular stuff....

Sounds like the Super V and ET65 is a sweet mix and I know the Vet30/ET65 is as well!

The Vet 30 will have more high mids...The Lynch has a more even frequency response....One isn't better or worse, just different...I prefer the more even response of the Lynch speaker....Vintage 30 type speakers tend to be more in your face sounding....Now, I don't play metal...so this could be a factor...

Like mentioned, I have the Lynch Box 4X12 cab and its loaded with these speakers.
I can play damn near any type of music and it sounds great.
We do mostly rock and metal and it handles it sounding great.
Did some cleaner blues music the other night and it came across super smoooooth!
Love the speakers and cab better than the Mesa Cab I had in the past.

can any body give me an update on this speaker?

i thinking about picking some up.

yes

i play metal too!
