Mark IIC+ reissue vs OG ++ CLIP

The knobs don’t sweep smoothly. They almost catch in certain places. The switches (far right) feel cheap and light.
I can say honestly mine does not have that issue at all. The knobs have a smooth sweep and seem fine. I hope it holds up. I am not a huge fan of current CTS pots.

I'm the only one who liked the RI better!
Maybe for the same reason why I've always liked my OG C+ better than the other C++ I owned and the other three I've had the chance to A/B it with.
The reissue sounds clear and punchy. The C++ sounded a bit smeared, with too much gain and saturation. Not well defined.
I would love to do an A/B of the reissue with my original DRG.
Hopefully soon.

Lack of smooth turning isn't necessarily an indicator of cheapness.

The pots on the Suhr SL68 and SL67 feel like shit to turn. On my SL68, I can even hear them making noise when I twist them, and one or two even squeek a little bit. But they're military grade PEC pots that are built to a tighter tolerance and have a more even taper than basically any other pot you're going to find. The "sub-optimal" feel of turning them is a known, expected thing.
