Possibly. Here is where I am at with this. Part of our brand recognition is our black and blonde color. You wouldn't ask Coke to change the red and white swish would you. It is difficult in todays amp market to have a brand recognition that is specific. I mean with modular we have a unique situation that no one else has but with the non modular line we have a few innovations to our products but it is difficult to bank on them as "brand recognition". Just talkin out loud!

All good points.

I like the 'standard' blonde/black Eggie colors - it makes for a nice looking amp, and people take notice whereas they may not pay that much attention if it was just another black amp. Just my 2c

Good example: Marshall amps. Despite the fact that I think most of their amps now sound like dogpoo, The black and gold color scheme is timeless, classy, and instantly recognizeable.

Peavey has good brand recognition with it's black and chrome theme. Too bad it's fugly.

They also have a good recognition due to that designed-in-1986-on-the-back-of-my-8th Grade-3 Ring Binder-hair metal-pointy logo.  Not knocking PV - they actually have a few good products - but that logo....yeesch.

But, Eggie blonde and black with the Egnater scroll logo - that's just plain purty...

Hmmmmmm........all good points and I'm not terribly disappointed, but........whose idea was it then for the black/wheat for the Tweaker? I wish I hadn't seen it because it's classy, classic and just a simpler look.

Blame John,it's his fault, but it does look classy, but not original. :D

Have to say...love the tan and black sooooo much. Really sets egnater off from the rest visually honestly..and the black / tan grillcloth. Personally I think that really makes them set out from the rest. The black / wheat look on the Tweaker looks too bognerish for me.

Soundwise...well..there's nothing like an egnater :)

Eric

I thought it was a Bogner/Egnater venture, looks like a cool amp.

my first concern was everyone thinking it was a bogner.

Backin' you up all the way here E.

pulus one.

How can anyone argue with the Egnater brand colors? They are perfecto why? Because it's about the tone! My 0.5 cents...

Fact is we did not want the Tweaker to look too much like the Rebel. If it had our signature Egnater look, it could easily be mistaken for a Rebel 20.

I could see that to a point...but you have developed a lot of "brand equity" with that black / tan look as of late. Here's an easy way to make the tweaker / rebel look different. Flip the head over, and have the knobs on the top like the Mod50. Then they will not look the same anymore.

It's the same for me on Marshall. Most Marshall heads are all black w/ the gold fronts. I dunno. It's just me...the marketing guy in me that makes me think that in guitar center...that black / tan really stands out...and has a consistent look and such that if ppl go in looking for an egnater, there's no mistaking what an Egnater amp looks like.

+1K. Again as I have stated in another thread. Our color is our brand recognition. It's hard to have your brand be based off the amp. It has to be from the look!

Yes, I thikn it does have an effects loop. right?

What is the size of that cab? convertible back? I was thinking of picking up a Tweaker and a larger 112 cab.

It has an effects loop. It looks like it is the Rebel cab.

It had an open back cab and had an H30 in it at the time of the amp show in LA,sounded great!!!
