So there's a Rev C serial 217 at a guitar center in Washington chrome chassis for 900. Here's the issue it has been rewired to 150 watts or something according to GC

Why don't you try a Tremoverb? Many Mesa guys say its the best of the rectifier circuits. Warmer than a regular recto.

Lol no I just noticed this amp thought it was interesting and I want to try one but the Royal Atlantic is pretty awesome too

I would get it re wired too! Those early amps had some mojo!!!!

^^ I'm really thinking about it does that mean the transformers are different?
Also I am wondering what boards actually in there

The logo looks too big to be a C. Unless the face plate has been changed I'm guessing it's a G

^^^ no the serial number on the chassis is 217 dude lol read the OP it's a Rev C in a Rev G headshell

Right... because gc never miss represents anything. FWIW you don't just "rewire" something to 150 watts. To up the wattage you also need to add 2 power tubes which would involve modding the chassis

Lol they sent me pics that's how I know and gc is too stupid to research anything a rectifier is a rectifier to them

lol. magical wiring turned into a Triple Rec on a Rev C board in a Rev G headshell. call it a Rev BS

This^
I would imagine the tranny would be different too.
I call BS on the magic wiring, I think the guy either told you something he was told, or he thought you wanted to hear ;)

Before you want to make fun of someone read your own OP and see you said nothing about it being in a G headshell.

I thought that was obvious because it's a chrome chassis and how is that making fun of anyone? I didn't make fun of fordman I'm sorry if he took it that way I just figured it's common knowledge on rig talk a chrome chassis in a headshell not blacked out isn't normal for a rectifier lol. I mean it's in the picture right we can all plainly see that its a chrome chassis lol I'll post a few more pictures.

Not a great picture but it looks like they removed the tube rectifiers and replaced both trannies.

I thought so too it's so depressing

Considering the amount of work involved buddy must've REALLY wanted a Triple Recto.

Also... considering the amount of work we can see on the outside, I'd be really surprised if the preamp was still stock.

Id say that's only Recto Fanboi knowledge because I certainly wouldn't know that without researching it first.
