Did you notice his settings?
Lead Master on 1, Master on 10... Pretty much the opposite of what others do.
I tried that on my MKIII and it was too flubby for my taste. I also don't run a boost. I guess if you're one that has an always on boost it tightens it up enough to work.

With my OG C+s, running it that way gave the vol more of a 'heart attack' jump if you breathed on the Lead Master lol. It sounded good though...But usually I ran the Master at 4, Lead around 2, 3.

I have a hypothesis that because fryette/vht are uncompressed and require you to have a decent right hand, that may explain why he runs his gain so high and why he thinks the UL is the worst amp ever

I was only vaguely familiar with who he was before this, and now that i'm familiar I wish I wasn't

Every time he hits the low B string in that UL video it gives me a fucking migraine

just the clashing sound of an out of tune fifth over and over and OVER AND OVER AND OVER

To be fair, playing PMU (the whole thing) is a litmus test for me personally to knowing if I'm going to like an amp or not. Amps I like will do that song right. That said, I sure would like it if he'd play it correctly..

Sykes riffs are another one for me. Same story. Riffs that have some grease bring out an amp's character.

Just for the record. No one hires me… I don’t do sponsored videos. They ask me if I want to make a demo of it. I say yes, but I explain that I say whatever I want about it. I got word back that marketing didnt enjoy my jab about the release. Tough luck! Hopefully they still ask after that :D

The amp sounds killer! Is a jp-c or mark vii a better buy for the $$?
