Sounds great. I don't think he makes every amp sound sound the same, he just has his own tone, like everyone. Cool to see him using something different than a sm57 to mic it.

Mesa could’ve reached a large portion of the MKIIC+ market by sending Ola one to begin with.
Interesting, he says that the reissue actually has a little more gain than his original. I guess, like everyone says, the originals varied a bit.

As far as I know it is possible to tinker out that oscillation. I think out tech savvy guys might have a solution already.
Still that’s completely ass situation and layout design problem.

So many variables / parts substitutions / Tubes / pots etc to affect the outcome.
And of course, how the amps (with all the components) age over 40 years.

Yeah, no chance I'd dial that RI in the way some did to 'prove' the squeal. I always dialed any of the C+ I had, same as Ola...Vol 1 pulled, dimed...Treb pulled, dimed...then, gain was anywhere between 3-6 and if I needed more, hit the boost pedal.
No squeal. If I dimed the gain, which sounded like shit IMO, yes it would squeal. But, I can't be sure if it was feedback or oscillation since I sold my last C+ a few years ago.
