Mesa MKIIC+ Reissue......Yep that's the tone.......

It sounds really thin as guy who owns marks . He needs low end . Plus a tad more gain yes .

Maybe if he's playing in his bedroom he needs low end, he could double track that and put it in a mix and none of you would know the difference though

It sounds all tinky tinky tinky every time he pick the low string . Double tracked into it would sound just as a bad . That shit would turn into tinker bell her self and fly away

No, it doesn't

90% of that low end would be removed on any recording if you knew what you were doing LMFAO
Dude you’re crazy . There no way double tracked that will sound better no matter how you disparage others .So your better than all these people that agree I take it . That’s not how you win an argument . You just look insecure when you do this to everyone but they just won’t say . You always are doing shit . Get over yourself

Guys, notice the hardwood flooring in there? That's a MESA fail. A nice plush carpeting would've provided the needed bass without a bunch of EQ fiddling. Of course that amp is a bit too bright with them hard floors. I tend to agree with @DanTravis62 that a lot of guitar-bass is either lost in recording, or it mixes with the bass guitar and makes ugly, swollen notes that are kind of a mess to deal with. I think there is a happy medium between what both of you guys are saying.

Low end eq is like a logarithmic function. Double tracking that would be like Squaring the low end, not 2+2ing the low end.

Hearing you guys say that the low end on the 57 recording or whatever is a little face palm inducing, because it's like all guitar players are still 11 year olds with Crate combos in their bedroom who don't realize how low end works on recordings, and I have to explain this to people all the time

Dude that tone is weak af . End of story . Even if doubled . Double tracking does not save a weak tone . Especially his blackened tone .
Nothing else to say

Damn right. Screw the reissue! He needs the line 6 insane setting for maximum 11 year old bedroom player low end!

You guys need to love each other more. His tone was a little thin but in a real mix probably would sit pretty nice for the most part. I get ignored for my plush carpeting statements. He's got hard laminate floors that are ripe for extra thwack in the trebles especially pushing volume.

It's the reason why I rarely post single tracked tones in general, guitarists "hear" guitar tones as the full mix with the stereo spread and the bass, not the actual single track

That leads to common mixing mistakes and why lots of people's recordings sound muddy

I guarantee you if that was double tracked, EQed, and with a bass, no one would be be saying it lacked low end

It's close, but the palm mutes in the 2nd video were what triggered the spidey senses for me. I don't know if double tracking would even be enough to thicken those up.
This was my thought. I think his palm mutes are too far from bridge. That is all it would take to not make them sound thin

Think he needs to wear more boots

Well. There is no way to solve this...except for a chugg off.
1. There will be no prisoners.
2. Dan's Must be single and double tracked so that we can see if the lowend comes from a thin tone
3. @ChuggNorris (I) will judge

I’m getting a new computer . After that I’ll be in total destroy mode . Dan gets great ones .
This tone , especially the Blackend one can not be saved
