Mesa releasing IIC+ promo vid.

I didn't care for the way that sounded at all.....

I wouldn’t look too deep into the amp sounding incredibly stupid, weak, and anemic in that video, as it was dialed and played by somebody who was clearly doing their best impression of “low gain geriatric Santana.”

When it’s dialed in by someone who actually knows how a Mark works and what high gain guitar sounds like, it will sound a lot better.

Whether it sounds as good as the original IIC+ amps remains to be seen.

I'm sure it'll be good, most of what they put out these days is.

But I hope they fire whoever put that video together.

All of the hype around these and this vid is what they went with 😂
You'd think they would get with the times and have one of these influencer folks at least dial it in and have a go

Hah don’t worry I’m sure the minute the review embargo ends, youtube will be flooded with demos from all the usual suspects.

I’m looking forward to it.

Gibson didn’t learn from Fender’s total flop of the 5150 iconic. Forcing influencers to use the shit matching cabinet and not allowing boosts. It forever scarred that amp for a long time that I still feel it never recovered from.

Gibson is about to do the same thing with dad rock riffs on a fucking IIC+ reissue. They should have had the best of the best do proper metal on it if they’re going to release any clips. I agree that was not doing the amp any favors.

Ima wait till @GJgo gets his and gives his opinion.
Yeah same. I’m hoping RT dudes with Mesa cabs and proper knowledge of them or even the ability to compare them to contenders (JP2C, DRG, Mark VII, etc) post first.

Mesa should have world premiered a release video artfully shot of Hetfield silhouetted (no talking) plugging in (“bzzzz…CLICK”)
close up slowly rolling up the gtr vol
and playing the C+ full stack for the first time, running through some iconic Metallica riffs and tweaking the controls to his liking
CUT TO
Camera dolly through a doorway to reveal Sykes in a rehearsal studio with the band blazing through some Tygers of Pan Tang/Lizzy/Whitesnake/Blue Murder bits on a wdw C+ rig with his black LP
DISSOLVE TO
Camera panning across console to reveal through control room glass Luke at his Steakhouse studio cutting a solo on a new Toto track…. as the last perfect note ends he looks up to the camera nodding in approval as he lifts his eyebrows…

CUT TO
extreme close up metal singer screaming into mic
cut to
full stage shot of new Mesa endorsed artist (?) cranking ultra heavy tune live at the Roxy with an audienced packed with gratuitous hottie chick shots.

as music continues cut to artistically lit product reveal shot:

“The Mark IIC+. A legend never dies.”

That's why I said it, you have one and know it as an everyday amp, and could make the most fair comparison clips IMO

the problem is, its the farthest from a "plug in and play" amp there is, there is so much you can tweak with all the push/pull knobs and everything else, and the smallest of tweaks can go from terrible to amazing that i cant imagine its easy to do a good review on. heres a pic of my settings i did with this metallica clip if anyone needs a starting point

Gold. You should go pro - or sell your ideas to Gibson.
