Sounds like a bad plate resistor or a shorted shunt tone cap. They look normal but have to be measured to be verified.

This is helpful . I don’t know about that yet. This all new . I can change tubes and biased but yet to learn more . I need to learn because the only tech here is getting very old .

That's the million -dollar question
 
Just send it in. He replaced every cap in my Mark 4 plus a bunch of other shit for under 400 bucks.
