Ya dug is pissed at God...oh well still a great vibe from them based against all the bullshit music out right now! Cant wait I am going down next week to work with both Dug and Ty on new Egnater rigs!

Tell Doug Im praying for him. :D Doug and God will work it out. I didnt find the "Pray" song was really anti-God.

Ya, it seemed more anti-hipocrite.

I like what I have heard. I w  as just listening to Gretchen goes to Nebraska yesterday.

Can't say I'm thoroughly impressed with what I've heard, especially since the music was basically finished 12 months ago. Sounds lazy and uninspired to me. Hope the full set of music is a little more creative.

The entire album has a very "raw" feel to it. Definitely some good tracks. Definitely a few that I'm not sold on yet. But both Ogre Tones and the album that inspired your moniker did the same thing to me, I started out only liking a few tracks, but after the first dozen listens or so, I can honestly say that I am a huge fan of both albums.

I just feel that some of their recent stuff hasn't been polished to it's full potential. There are a few songs on Ogre Tones that, if the lyrics were slightly improved and dynamics enhanced, would have been killer songs. One of my favorites is that Ty acoustic song "honesty"...really beautiful acoustic work, but the lyrics are extremely corny. Then again, there are some songs that would seem to be sure hits for radio, that go completely ignored.

I'll definitely pick it up, tired of waiting.

I agree completely...not polished and to me it seems they're putting their "important" stuff out via solo albums. I LOVE Rock Garden and Strum Sum Up is pretty damn good (I haven't gotten into Doug's solo stuff as much as Ty's) and really enjoy the Jelly Jam 1&2, Moonflower...Naomi's...I have "Come Somewhere" but I haven't gotten into it so much.

I like the guitar tones on Rock Garden and Strum Sum Up (I know...not Ty) better than what I've heard so far of XV and Ogre Tones. I'm not sure what Ty's doing with that Randall stuff, but I guess people love it. I guess its hard to tell...he doesn't play many solos on Kings' X CD any more.

Oh well...I will still be all over this, and they rock so hard live that they can forgiven anything I suppose.

Of course...unlike you guys, I haven't heard the album in its entirety!

Move....is the shit!

Rocketship...very cool sounds like Poundhoud vibe. I have really dug all of these tunes.

Didn't have enuff time... I'll post the rest tonight
