He reccomends that you "strip" it yourself before sending it in. $50 bench fee for removal of any hardware if he has to do it.

Nick, it looks awesome! Congrats! It's the sickest looking LP Studio by far!

Looks absolutely killer! Marty did a great job, and that's a super resonable price. How long was the turnaround time?

I've always been a sucker for a sparkle guitar :)....but does yours have flames! :)

Great looking guitar man. LOVE IT! :)

Guitar looks pretty killer man. Even though it's not a "new" guitar for you, I'm sure you're going to enjoy playing this one more for awhile now that it looks new.

Believe me when I say this thing looks f*cking outrageous in person. I am jealous, fo sho.

The only problem is that, like an idiot, I threw a gibson 498T pickup in the bridge, and I think it sounds like poo, so now I gotta sell that and get another pickup for it.

And Eric and Jason will tell me to get Motor City's in 3... 2... 1....

I'm pretty biased but it's what you like nick,I would say go for an MCP,Bare Knuckle or WCR for the LP.I don't think there's much better,to me that is but even a bad choice of one of them would still suck   I would say Solution but that might melt that beautiful finish  Guitar looks BADASS Nick!!!!

I hear ya man. I love my MCP's and my BKPs. Best pickups I've ever played! :)

Jesus Christ not a Duncan. Please. Aldrich? Rebel Yell? PLEASE.

For most Duncans, I would agree, but there's nothing wrong with a set of SD '59s in the right guitar....

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!! finally!!!!

The Seymour Duncan 59 neck pickup, to me, is incredible. Perfect to my ears. That being said, I've had a hard time finding a great production Duncan bridge pickup to match.

Most of my Duncan bridge buckers are custom-spec from the custom shop. They're basically overwound 59s, up to 9.0 to 9.5K. Alnico V, vintage 42AWG wire. And they kick ass.

I'd put up ANY pickup from the SD Custom Shop up against any other boutique pickup winder's stuff. MJ over there knows her stuff.

Comparing the SD Custom Shop and the regular Seymour Duncan line isn't really a fair comparison. The Custom Shop stuff IS hand made, boutique stuff, thru and thru.

Your probably right with the custom shop stufff but them you are talking the same price and the regular seymours now don't compare,to me that is!My friend has an old Duncan Distorion that sounds nothing like the new ones.
