the only thing that I can add to what has already been said is that the amp seems to be missing some hangtime / sustain. It seems as if its about to choke the notes on you unless my hearing is screwed lol

Even on the second clip? I hear that on the first one, but not the second one...

Yeah Steve. On the second clip there is enough hang time and sustain for me. It is pretty easy to play and solo on too. It's as good as my PM has ever sounded, but that's as much a result of changing pickups and bridges on my guitar as anything with the amp. I'm having fun with it. I still am considering doing what you did. Your amp sounded good at much more sane volumes. I really dug it with my OCD.

However, I'm afraid that all your MKIV playing and the bad influence of all these east coast gain junkies has ruined you forever. Don't you want to fight with your amp?

I'll tell ya - I have a lot less fighting with the PeaceMaker with these mods... even at low volumes...

I really think the second clip was freakin' great sounding. Plenty of sustain for EVH IMO...

I've been working really hard lately unfortunately, but very soon, I'm going to record a modded PM clip at low volume. It sounds REALLY good even down to TV volume. I'm digging it, but I find I like it better with higher output pickups surprisingly... I used to like it better with something between 8.3-9.2K, but now my Aldrich sounds good to me through it...

I am strongly considering having the PPIMV done to my PM.

I dig my Suhr with the SSH into my Peacemaker and that thing has output in the 12k range.

Thanks Ben. That's not a backing track. That's a straight MP3 rip from the Van Halen II cd with the left side turned off and me recording onto the left side in Sonar.
