Tremoverb was the first tube amp I ever bought. Saved up for a year making minimum wage in high school. Found one on eBay and it showed up a week later via UPS. Remember speeding home from school in my 89 Cherokee and seeing that big ass box sitting my driveway.

Opened it up and it was in pieces. Glass everywhere. Headshell took a major hit and was split. I was fucking devastated. Eventually got it all fixed up and that was my only amp for about 10 years. Eventually moved to more Marshall style amps but that thing went with me everywhere. Sold it incredibly cheap which was a mistake in hindsight

There’s probably not, an in the room sound, that is as fun as the red channel on a good recto. For recording though, I would rather use the Orange channel.

There’s a tell-tale reason behind the color code
crunch system.
Identical to the check engine light that’s currently lit up in the dashboard interface of your car.

Is it orange?
Then it’s likely an O2 sensor, timing belt goin’
or your gas cap is cross-threaded.

Is it red?
Then your transmission is going to start slipping
& dump fluid all over the fucking place
or you’re about to throw a rod and blow the CAM.

Red ALWAYS trumps Orange.

You just want to sound all cool & all up in the 411.

Not really experienced with rectos but so far I'm loving the red man. It sounds crushing for tight riffs. I'm about to reamp guitars for an Italian death band and I'll try both orange and red
Do you just use IR’s or mic cabs? If you mic cabs you’ll need a second mic designed for capturing the red channel size which a 57 on it’s own isn’t going to do.

I only mic cabs at the studio but I do have my own professionally- captured IR collection (VHT / Mesa 412 OS / Splawn 412 with different speakers / Orange 412 / Diezel 212 OS). Most IRs are 57 + R121 and I do love this combination. I happen to have this site selling kemper profiles + IRs in case you want to find more info about the IRs. https://www.ultimatemetalkemperprofiles.com/
But yeah so far I love this thing I find it really easy to record
